I got my fourth vaccine earlier today (the first day all adults in my province could get it). It’s good I got another one now and they shouldn’t have made us wait this long. My third one was in early October last year, so basically a whole year ago. The effectiveness of it probably wore off quite a bit during that time. I’ll see how I feel tomorrow. I felt a little bit of aches and feeling cold earlier in the night. How are you feeling now Callie?

Ugh, I actually have Covid. Did a test and it was textbook positive. I did not expect that. My fever is coming down and my smell and taste are still there. Well, let’s hope it will give me no lasting problems. Btw, that test was quite annoying. Putting a swab to the back of your eyeballs was quite uncomfortable. My nose started running immediately and my eyes started watering.

That’s what you get for being social. My best friend suspects she got Covid too (again). So we need to battle it out who infected who Fingers crossed it will go over relatively well. My upper airways are a bit irritated. But luckily I have no trouble breathing at all. I need to take it slow. I just had to attend an online meeting for work. Now I’m pretty beat and my fever is acting up again. Time to cook some dinner.

I got it right before I was gonna get my 4th shot. I unfortunately think that at this rate most people will get it. They say that 80% of my age group in Canada has had it. The bummer part for me now is that I have to get 3 shots (4 COVID, flu and the new COVID shot) in November (although I may skip the 4th COVID shot and just get the new one. We’ll see). Glad you’re getting through it, make sure you take time and rest. Also if you’re able to get some electrolytes in you. I lived off of sugar free Gatorade when I was sick.

Today I worked for too many hours. My fever is spiking again. Electrolytes is actually a great idea! I have been drinking plenty of fluids, but water and tea wash you out. I bought some special electrolyte drink for cycling this summer. I will give that a go. It also contains some extra energy. Despite eating normal, I have been losing weight.

Every time I get any sort of flu I always have some electrolyte drink. It really helps restore some of your energy. When I lost my taste the powdered electrolyte drink I had tasted soapy but Gatorade still tasted okay. Hopefully you don’t lose your taste. My dad and grandmother didn’t.

Better monitor your oxygen levels too, just in case. Is your breathing still fine?

Symptoms are still flu like: fever, headcold, trying to get rid of phlegm. I also don’t have a dry cough. Smell and taste are still there. My smell is actually quite sensitive at the moment. If I wouldn’t have tested positive I would never suspect I have Covid.

My psychiatrist has assigned me a case worker! I will meet her next week. My psychiatrist is a witch!! She tried to put me in the behavioral health hospital last week and she was furious when she had to take me off all my meds because I got pregnant again.

Oh noes, my taste and smell have disappeared… literally over night. Last night everything was still fine. But this morning I already noticed I didn’t smell much. I hardly tasted any of my breakfast. And I can’t even smell things like peanutbutter. The only good news is that my fever has come down. Last night was the first night I didn’t get boiling hot.

It’s a miracle: my smell and taste are recovering. I noticed during the morning that I started smelling things better again. My lunch taste a lot better than breakfast. Now for dinner, it is getting closer to normal again.
