I look less for my physical expectations with a guy, as that can be tossed, but my actual personality ones I sincerely seek. It isn't hard to find a good person who meets most of those things, they aren't unreasonable. My biggest issue is never having the guts to go for the guy. You mean you can't ask any guys out? That's a problem that I have. I'd feel horrible if I were rejected. I figure that if the guy is actually interested he'll just ask me out.

It is hard for me to remotely speak to a guy I find attractive let alone ask him out. Poor Haydyn XD Never knew I thought he was insanely sweet. LOL.

And please not in a girl's way like "I blinked so he has to know I like him". A bit more obvious is the way to go.

If you're scared of asking people out because you fear rejection, you just need to do it more so rejection stops being so scary. It's just getting over the initial barrier where you realise someone turning you down won't kill you

As time goes on you realize it’s not as big a deal getting rejected because there is gonna be so many more opportunities because there are so many people in the world. Someone rejects you, doesn’t like you, okay move on to the next one.

I probably could have been hit with a baseball bat, figuratively speaking, and not seen it... but it no longer matters for me. I stopped bothering long ago.

It's just getting over the initial barrier where you realise someone turning you down won't kill you It won't kill me but it would definitely kill my confidence. My thought process would be like "I'm amazing! What could this guy possibly not like about me?? I must actually suck". It's better for me to not ask anyone out.

Yeah, but how are you gonna ever date anyone if you’re gun shy? You at least have to make the effort and it shouldn’t kill your confidence. Maybe that first guy doesn’t like you. Doesn’t mean you aren’t an awesome and cool person. Sometimes someone just isn’t the right fit for you. Doesn’t mean the next person isn’t.

Some guy will eventually ask me out so it won't matter if I'm gun shy If the first guy rejected me then it does mean I'm not cool. He would have had a reason for rejecting me. I'd want to know why I wasn't a right fit for him.

Maybe they just aren’t looking to date someone or you’re not their type. I don’t know, but I wouldn’t get too down on myself.

I'm sorry but I don't understand when people say they want the person to have no pets. I guess it's sort of similar to kids, as I would not want to date someone with kids. It would be out of the question completely.

It would be out of the question completely. Everyone has their own preferences. I personally wouldn’t date someone who doesn’t like pets or wouldn’t want me to have any. As for the kids I’d prefer they don’t, but wouldn’t be a deal breaker for me.

Not because I dislike kids, but just because at this point in my life I'm not willing or really capable of taking on any kind of responsibility for a child.
