Taylor’s website won’t ship the vinyl to Canada…yet and I’m not paying twice as much for it from the Canadian store so, I’m gonna wait until she makes them available to ship here (which will probably be in a few days) or maybe wait for the target release and get the red RED. It seems that I was right about her delaying the vinyl announcement so it could be out for release, that’s cool. Even though I’m absolutely dying to having this record, I’m not rushing to order it cause every time I do she makes it more easily available elsewhere and I find I waste my money with unnecessary shipping so maybe I’ll wait till it’s in my local record shop… The black vinyl record(s) was finally put up on the Canadian Online Store (it’s there for me now). $65 CAD…… Sheesh.  You were right about her wanting to push the album’s release back really far so that vinyl records could ship at the same time. It’s just interesting how she is changing her approach to releasing her albums. It’s crazy (confusing) and it’s always different. I would definitely wait, especially for the regular black vinyl record for the album. If you think about it, she would never not let her regular vinyl record for this album be available everywhere. She is re-recording this album to try to replace the original, so she will of course want the new vinyl record to replace the old vinyl record in physical stores. It will be interesting to see them sitting side by side for all of her re-recorded albums, since they will probably never stop selling and pressing the original albums in vinyl record format. If you really want the exclusive vinyl record ’Target’ will probably have for ’RED (Taylor’s Version)’, they may have it available through ’Sunrise Records’ again like they did with ’Evermore’ (the red one). They didn’t do it with ’Folklore’, which is interesting. I wonder if the red ’FEARLESS (Taylor’s Version)’ vinyl record will be available in Canada. That’s one disadvantage to the re-recorded albums. It’s amazing to get around 30 newly recorded songs and some never heard before songs on every re-recorded album, but it makes them quite expensive in vinyl record format. I didn’t expect for there to be four vinyl records for this release! Will it come in a box then maybe like a set? It’s not even the price conversion that gets me it’s the fact that it costs more to ship within Canada than it does when you just order it from the us store (which is completely nuts). I’ll probably get a black one and a red one anyways. I get the red ones from a seller on eBay who sells them at retail which is nice! That’s how I got the folklore and evermore one. Then again, if the borders open up I may just bribe my mom to take the 19th off and drive me over the border to take me to target (if anything, it’s a good weekend to do over the border shopping because the stores have all their early Black Friday sales and it ends up being cheaper than actual Black Friday). Speaking of Black Friday, RSD typically does special releases for Black Friday so maybe Taylor will release a special vinyl edition of red through them too. I hope so anyways! I’m not opposed to black vinyl and I kind of like how she’s using tour photos, feels nostalgic, but it would still be cool if she did a RSD thing! |

I hate how they charge for shipping on music items...so like the fearless album I will wait until retailers get them. I am sure Target will also get a red one. If there’s no red vinyl record (probably from ’Target’) for ’RED (Taylor’s Version)’, there will be an absolute riot on social media I’m sure (and I’ll join in on it). I think Target is under some kind of contract with her label to produce red vinyl for her albums. It's probably why the one in her store is plain black. |

I’m not mad about the black vinyls. I do wish Taylor had come up with something more creative and I will probably still get a red record from target but sometimes coloured vinyls have a lower quality sound. Black vinyls are known for having better pressings.

I guess now would be a good time to order the vinyl, and I have sort of been leaning towards the plain black one because while the color red makes more sense, the Target red one would be very bright and I’m just not sure that fits the vibe, the black is classic… I wish the target one would come out so I could decide. I want to ask for it for Christmas but it has that stupid explicit label on it and my mother made it very clear before that she won’t do that  |
