I was shocked when I saw the three shows lof the Eurovision Song Contest last week. They allowed 3500 dutch people in the audience, they were tested, but we all know that they aren't 100% safe and also most infections are just possible to see after around 24 hours in those tests, but they had a big arena and they were all placed together without one free set between them, and they were allowed to be there without wearing a mask, they just had to wear one when they walked around, which is crazy, because they are nearer to another person when they sat there watching the show and they breathe whether they sit and dance or walk around. You guys should have also seen the stands at the Monaco GP last Sunday. Pretty much everyone was wearing a mask, but there’s not much in terms of distancing. That was also a thing I coudln't understand. Monaco is a high risk region (for Germany), but then there are sspectators. At least they had to wear masks. I feel like the people aren't learning from what happened so far, because they make the same mistakes over and over again. The numbers are decreasing and everyone starts to be incautious.

I got my first vaccine shot today (about three hours ago). It did not really hurt at all and it was very quick. The needle was in my arm for one or two seconds.

It's actually beginning to be proven that if people have negative tests and/or are vaccinated, it's unlikely that spread will happen. We've been piloting events in the UK and they had a club night in Liverpool with 3000 people that a month later has only resulted in something like 3 cases. I do understand exercising caution and no one should do anything they're not comfortable with, but it's not as unsafe as it seems.

Yeah you're not that infectious like you weren't vaccinated, but it is still possible and sometimes happens, and to stop the pandemic it's necessary to stop spreading the virus as much as possible, so it shouldn't be allowed to do tese events in that way as long as we still have the pandemic around the world. If it's gone back to normal numbers and with no more infections than ealings, then they could do those events again. But at the moment every single infection is one too many.

The problem is it's endemic now - we're never going to get rid of COVID-19, it will always be around. It's not possible to wait for zero infections as it's likely that day will never come. We've never eradicated a coronavirus before and whilst I'm sure we will in the future, it seems beyond our capabilities at the moment.

We've never eradicated a coronavirus before and whilst I'm sure we will in the future, it seems beyond our capabilities at the moment. That's why I never said that we should wait until Covid is gone. But we shouldn't risk doing things that are supposed to be normal too early. If we do it too early, then we will have all activities to do for the summer (maybe the summer), but after the summer we're back in lockdown again. If we would be patient and just wait a few months longer (I think it would be at the end of the year), then we can open up without ever going into lockdown again, so we would have around half a year let of lockdown and then we could live normal again, if we open up now to live normal, then wehave a few more years without normal living, and that just that some people could have their fun in this summer.

I'm getting another vaccine on June 29th. I'm being vaccinated with Pfizer / BioNTech which is one of those you have the best experience with here in Denmark. Here they started with the oldest, and have now reached them for between 60 and 50 years. Here in Denmark, they have not started with the young people yet. Only those who work in the health sector, or work with older people.

Vaccination is going pretty well at the moment. I just made the appointment for my vaccination. I'll get my first shot on June 11th and my second on July 16th. I'm getting Pfizer or Moderna, that's good news.

I just saw in the news that the US will be donating its surplus vaccines to some countries, and my country will be among the first to receive them. The shots to be donated are from Moderna and AstraZenica.

After a month of quickly decreasing numbers and opening up since a bit over 2 weeks, we now have raising numbers again since this week. I think they opened up too early. Also we have many reports th last days about completely vaccinated people who are infected again, often old peoples homes, but also from holidays and oter people.

At the moment many are overly optimistic. It takes a few weeks for problems to surface. Despite vaccinations going fairly well, it’s a terrible idea to rush back to normal. If they do it in many countries, you can bet on it that we will see lots of traveling over the summer. Especially global travel could bite us in the fall.

Starting today, everyone in Germany can get vaccinaated, but most cities (ours too) is still just vaccinating people older than 70 years. How long do they want to wait for all people over 70? They're vaccinating those people since december 27th 2020

They're vaccinating those people since december 27th 2020 That’s really slow. Over here we’re working our way down in age. Today people born in 1985 and 1986 were allowed to schedule an appointment. Although the second shot for these people will be given at the end of July. If all goes well everyone could be fully vaccinated by September.
