I wish digital voicemail was a standard thing. You have to pay extra for it in Canada I believe depending on the carrier. It would be a lot easier and nicer to be able to look at what voicemails you have in a list format. On my phone you have to call the voicemail, put in your passcode, and listen to the annoying prompts.

Took the plunge and bought wireless headphones. I got the Sennheiser CX 400BT. They’re good in ear plugs. Setting them up was quite stressful. New things are always stressful for me lol. But I’m getting used to it.

The premium Sennheisers are €250. That’s insane, you can get full headphones for that. To be fair: it’s amazing how they can fit so much into one little piece. The expensive ones even have noise cancellation. Mine are not cheap, but they are still high quality audio without the noise cancellation. Which is fine, because in ear plugs already block out noise. And I don’t have to wear them guiding fighter jets off the deck of a carrier. I also looked into lower end ones. But you don’t really get much for under €40. So that’s why I bought these. I hope they will last a while, which unfortunately isn’t the case with most headphones nowadays.

At the price of the AirPods Max, I could get myself Bose's best noise-cancelling headphones or an equivalent pair from Sony, with a good amount of cash to spare for a decent entry-level to midrange Android phone.

I didn't even know digital voicemails were a thing. Well I kinda did. But hopefully they are more accurate than voice to text messages used to be 🤣

I have samsung ones (that were free) and you can't lie down or rest your head with them because they stick out so much. Maybe the newer models are better idk

The ones I have fit well, they don’t fall out. But they do stick out too much to lay down comfortably on your side. You need a soft pillow or some support for your neck to make it comfortable. Personally I don’t use them much in bed. Or I lay on my back.

They're discreet, I can jump between listening to something on my Mac and my phone seamlessly, and they're really comfortable in your ears (unless you end up wearing them for like, 6 hours, at which point almost anything in your ears would hurt. I would never pay for the Pro ones or anything, but I definitely think they're a good purchase for the average user who doesn't need anything special!

I mean, I’m a big Apple fan but Sennheiser would probably have higher quality earbuds than Apple.

They’re pretty much the same as the high end ones, minus the noise-canceling.

I liked my Airpods for a while, but I wear them all day at work and it got tiresome. I've always preferred over the ear headphones to a certain extent, so a couple of months ago I splurged for the Bose QuietComfort. I got a pretty good price on them because they were an open box at Best Buy... I've really liked them. I didn't think I would like the noise-canceling as I struggle to hear things with my Airpods as it is, but it's actually really great. I work around a loud machine at work so now I'm able to hear what's going on in my headphones without having to have the volume quite so loud, which is always a concern of mine. I very rarely use my Airpods now, I did today and was a bit struck by how hard it was to hear what was going on without the noise-canceling XD and the Bose cushions are very comfortable as well, which is actually like the #1 reason I went for them. They seemed like they would be painful but they've rarely bothered me. In fact, I was staying with my parents in a hotel room a bit last week and my dad's snoring was getting on my nerves, so I fell slept with them on all night for several nights listening to an audiobook

Computer shopping is very confusing. I have a good one, but it's a gaming laptop (ROG) and it's not really made for what I'm doing now, which is writing. The battery only lasts four or five hours and it's too powerful of a system to be plugged up and charged in the car, which is a situation I'm often in. My mother's HP laptop charges fine in the car. I've considered getting a Macbook but they are very pricey, especially considering that I already have a good laptop. I've kind of decided on a Chromebook because I am using Google Docs and I use a lot of other Google applications as well. There are so many choices though... I really don't need many features, just as long as it runs fast and works well with Google Docs and Chrome, a good battery and capability of being charged in the car (I believe it's a 12 volt) would be a nice plus. But going with a lower-end model can often be a mistake so I'm really not sure what direction to go in...

That often breaks it down pretty well with pros and cons.

It seems like a good one, but being under $300, I dunno. Definitely like the price, but don’t wanna buy a piece of crap, either
