I wonder if it's finally time for me to fully embrace Linux. Probably not. Linux has some upsides, but also many downsides. For regular use, it’s just not practical.

Sadly corporations are not really in it to optimize products for customers. They focus on sales and creating dominance over other corporations. Or in Linux’ case: make a niche product hoping to catch on. We also see it with browsers. A few big ones dominate. Small ones try to convince you with some new features, but end up fading away again.

I’ve been really into Ocean Hero and Brave lately. I’ve been using Firefox for ages and I’m sticking with it. It’s just a good allround browser that has been great from the start. I don’t see any reason to switch. The only annoying thing nowadays, is that websites try to prevent you from using an adblocker. But that’s for all browsers. I even heard some browsers annoy you with ads.

I don't have any problem using "uBlock Origin" add-on, works in chrome and firefox and blocks everything. I didn't have a single add everywhere I go. uBlock Origin Firefox add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ublock-origin/)

I even turned it off for one website, still didn’t work. Super annoying.

Its also working on twitch, which is interesting. But there are also built in ads, in the videos, you cant skip this type of ad, unless you use a special addon, which I dont remember the name now. It will find the ad segment and skip it in the video. But that also doesnt work all the time. Thats all I know. So there are different types of ads and its getting complicated and more frustrating on the user end.
