Do you want the combination of a laptop/tablet? Personally I think a 10” screen is too small. If you want to work laptop style or watch a movie, a bigger screen is recommended. I also have my doubts about the 128gb harddisk space. The OS, Office and some apps can take quite a bit of space. Especially if you want to download some content and have a music collection, store a photo collection, space might get tight. The size is perfect for me. I won't be using it every day, just for basic browsing and occassional entertainment. Though I will look at the larger GBs in case I use it for work later or something. For me, no storage is enough lol. I want to get a new laptop (had to cancel one in the summer) but I almost got a 2 TB one for an upgrade (a ’MacBook Pro’).

You can combine a high speed drive for applications and a normal drive for storage. And you can upgrade storage. Even in my current PC I could easily throw in an 8 TB drive for a low price.

Thanks guys, I went back to the store and asked about it. I was keen until he explained what a chromebook is lmao the idea sounds fair enough, but I was put off when he said Office is not a one time install - you have to subscribe to it. I ended up getting this (remember, I was not looking for top end, I only need my laptop on a casual basis) www.jbhifi.com.au/products/lenovo-ideapad-flex-5-14-0024-14-full-hd-2-in-1-laptop-128gbObviously, since my old laptop was a few years old, this is a step up aesthetically and visually (resolution). I am not used to this keyboard or keypad, so I am hoping my hands will adapt and I'll be able to type and maneuver the mouse properly soon.

I was gonna ask if you realized Office 365 is a subscription. But I assumed you would know about that. I’m not a fan of subscription models, especially not for Office. I got Office 2010 years ago for $20. Still works fine. I don’t notice the difference to Office 365 I use at work. As a teacher/student you should be able to get your hands on the latest non subscription Office version fairly cheap. If you don’t like the touchpad, you can use a proper mouse. I hooked up my work laptop at home to a big monitor. And I use a proper keyboard and mouse.

Yeah, for now I've just been using the free one through my uni email, I think there is something similar with the Office 'app'. I'll wait until I need Word on a full-time basis before I buy it. It's funny, every few years when I get some new tech, there's always new stuff that is give or take, or it's no longer how you remember, and I am getting SO bad with change, I really cannot keep up with that many changes in tech, almost embarrassingly. Back when I bought my sound speakers, the abilities of Bluetooth were only just starting to come 'in', and I asked the salesperson about plugging my MP3 player into the speakers and he looked at me like I'd grown two heads as he was explaining about the Bluetooth 😂 anyway, I have now just discovered that Windows S is a thing. I tried downloading chrome and was getting pop ups from Windows before I realised why it was being blocked. Honestly, ridiculous 😂 the older computers were a lot slower but I don't remember them taking this long to set up!

And an “ancient” Blu-ray/DVD/CD burner in it. Not to mention my stereo set in the living room with 3 CD changer and double cassette deck 😂. Meanwhile others turn on the $1000 coffee machine at home with their smartphone while we’re hiking through nature... Generally I like reading up on new technology. But please...not every day. It’s getting out of hand. And change is not the same as improvement. I’m not a fan of all these subscription models. Corporations are just trying to steal your money consistently for decades.

The iPhone voicemail transcription beta is so bad I don't think it's ever transcribed any voicemail for me correctly. I can't even comprehend the last half of this message if I relied solely on the transcription lol

I was going to get my new phone but the color I want is out of stock until the new year what color? yellow iPhone 11! But I’m also considering the purple which is in stock now. My mom says I’m settling if I get it though. But I do love them both.

I’ve been waiting each month for one reason or another to put off getting it, I was really hoping to have it by Christmas.

God, I really wish I could afford a new 'MacBook'... Didn’t you just get a new laptop recently? No I said before I had to cancel it. Taylor just had to release a sh*t ton of merch then didn't she? I thought other things were important at the time too.
