I have the free version of Spotify but I've never subbed I think bc, like I said, I prefer physical copies of stuff but also (again, I'm gonna sound like a grandma), I'm not on a phone plan so I don't have unlimited data. I just don't use my phone enough to justify paying for a plan which are like $60 a month or so here...I always buy my phones outright then just prepay about $20 a month and that's more than enough for me. And I don't really listen to a lot of artists outside of Taylor...most of the time it is just Taylor. So I guess in that way it's just where I put my money type of thing...I do have Netflix, I love it. I get enough use out of it, and the subscription is more than affordable, and my family can use it as well so it's win-win. Yeah, we share Netflix and Amazon Prime between the four of us in my family so it's a bargain (especially since they use my prime and I pay the student price). I'm quite annoyed that companies keep removing their shows to move them to their own streaming services though. I don't want to have to pay for twenty different streaming services to watch stuff, then it's just like paying for TV again

I noticed my computer didn’t do any updates for Windows 7 for a while. Turned out the update service was not working somehow. Fixed it and installed quite a bunch of updates. Didn’t do any updates for more than a year, woops.

I've been learning about sound tech lately. It's really made me appreciate what it takes to get the final masters of a track. And if it were possible, sadder than I was before about the decline of physical media lol. I can see now why vinyl is making a comeback. I have some LPs on my wishlist. Even further down the track, it would be awesome to have my own Hi-Fi set-up but that's probably years off, because I'd want it to be right, and like everything else in the world, they're expensive.

I'd love one of those suitcase record players but I also don't know much about players in general... Those ones are so aesthetic but I've seen a lot of people with 'high-end' ones so I'm not sure if this affects the playback or what.

Bought a set of headphones. Sennheiser HD599. They’re awesome. Big difference when I play my piano with them.

On May 29th (my university graduation day) I ordered a pair of the 'AirPods Pro'...I picked them up yesterday (June 1st) and it's my first time listening to some music and I can hear static in the left piece. Not very impressed, especially for something like that to be heard right away. Is it defective? Or is there something I'm doing wrong?

I put them back in their case and set them down for a little then closed the laptop and tried to listen to music again and I didn't hear the static. That's kind of annoying if it interferes with things easily. I wonder if it would do it with a newer laptop. I did update my phone after I read it could be to do with the device music is being played from if it's not up to date. It didn't tell me there was an update for my phone but I updated it when I checked and there was one.

It's worth checking if there's anything else that might be on the same bluetooth frequency nearby. Our library gates are on the same one and if you've got airpods in as you walk in it gets static.

I notice when I'm out that my Samsung buds crackle or lose connection if someone goes past with their bluetooth (e.g. a car playing music) but they've been generally good. I don't like the feel of them though, wish I could trade for airpods bc they look more comfortable. You shouldn't be having any major issues if you've just bought them though so might be an idea to contact the company if it hasn't resolved yet.

They've been good I think but I've only used them a few times and have been sitting and not moving when I used them. I saw that the 'AirPods Pro' have adjustable or better looking ear pieces so I thought they'd be better and they're only a little more than the first and second price points of the cheaper earphones. I hate the shape of the earphones that 'Apple' has had for the recent past. I don't remember when they switched them but I hate the design where you have to sort of push the earphones into your ears a certain way. I have a cheap set from a store that were $30 that are a small brand and they suck and they hurt my ears after a while because you have to put them in your ears a certain way and they're hard and hurt.

Those ones are so aesthetic but I've seen a lot of people with 'high-end' ones so I'm not sure if this affects the playback or what. I know this was posted quite a few months ago, but I just saw it now lol. I had a suitcase record player for a few years and I loved it, but a few months ago I put one of my skipping records on my father's record player and it didn't skip at all. I started trying all of my records that I thought skipped on it and they played fine. I've heard suitcase style players are bad but I've defended it a lot, but after doing a lot of research I came to the conclusion that they are not a good style XD. The record hangs off of it and it's actually supposed to be on a flat service, and it should have a counterweight. Built in speakers are also kind of bad, I had to hook the one I have now up to my stereo CD player. It was a pain to learn about and switch to at first, but I got one of my dad's old players and now all of my records play perfectly, absolutely no skipping. Suitcase is probably fine if you're casual about it and just want it for looks sort of, but if you're investing a lot of money into your record collection I wouldn't get one. This is the one I have now, I have no idea how old it is or how much it cost but it's about $50 on eBay now.

I'm longing for the iPhone 11, and I seriously love all of the colors so much. I wouldn't get black or white though. I've never been able to get one in a vibrant color before, it's always been like gold, black, silver and rose gold... I really love the yellow. But I really love the green. I like the purple. And the red too. It's impossible XD

has anyone here had a CASETiFY case? I've always had an Otterbox Defender but they don't make them with the screen anymore so it's pretty much useless. Now I can finally get a pretty case but I still hope that it will be protective as it can be because I'm kind of known for dropping my phone XD also a good screen protector? My mom got the Otterbox screen protector and it was awful.

Yeah I posted this back when I was a #noob 😂 I definitely wouldn't put my money into a suitcase now. You're right, they're not made for records, they're made for the aesthetic.
