How many times in your life have you flown? I have flown only about 40 times.

Do you like take off or landing? Or neither one? I like take off.

Do you like take off or landing? Or neither one? I like take off. I like both but my preference is landing. I find it interesting to land in Chicago because I can view the skyline and look for landmarks that I am familiar with since I lived there.

What are your favorite airlines, and what airlines would you like to try in the future (once we’re out of this pandemic mess)?
My favorites are Singapore Airlines and Cathay Pacific because of their hard product and their service (Singapore stands out in this aspect).
And I would love to try Qatar Airways and ANA. I’ve read a lot of rave reviews about them.

I like to fly Southwest and American Airlines. I'd like to try Delta, Jet Blue, and Alaskan Airlines.

I guess Southwest, Delta, and Contour are my current favorites. Contour lands in the airport near where I live. If I was going to Chicago I would select Southwest because they fly into Midway Airport.

Chicago once had a small airport on lake Michigan very close to the shoreline by the city and downtown area. The runway was only 3,900 feet long and air traffic was normally limited to smaller planes that were propeller powered. In 1992 United Air Lines wanted to demonstrate the short runway capabilities of their Boeing 727s (no longer in service). So a flying crew was recruited and a 727 departed O'hare International Airport and flew the short distance and landed at Meigs field. When watching this pilot battle the severe cross winds it certainly demonstrates that Chicago earns its nickname 'The Windy City'. Also, after 9/11 Meigs field was closed and turned into a park.
