Peolple who were at the beach in Cocoa Beach, Florida received quite a surprise. A World War 2 era airplane that was participating in a nearby air show had to make an emergency landing. Happily the pilot and all the beach goers were not injured.

I like this video which shows a Lufthansa flight crew having a day off in Quito, Ecuador. They tour the city and see the sights and interesting things. It must have been fun for them when they walked directly on the equator!

What is everyone's favorite movie that has something to do with flying My favorite is Turbulence Top Gun is probably my favourite movie about flying airplanes but to be honest I don't know if I've seen many other movies that feature flying airplanes as a main component of the movie (which is something I should change considering I have a degree in film and all).

This is an interesting video. I saw it yesterday on 'Facebook' I believe and I thought about sharing it in this thread.
It shows the flow of air traffic on 9/11 when all flights were grounded.

What is everyone's favorite movie that has something to do with flying My favorite is Turbulence I saw your post a while ago but I was having a hard time thinking about it. It's hard to think about movies on the spot and to think of movies that apply to the theme. But after yesterday ( 9/11), I remembered 'United 93' and I thought it was a good movie. But sad and jarring. I saw it for the first time in an "American History" course I was taking in high school. I sort of wanted to watch it yesterday (on 9/11) but it wasn't on 'Netflix' and I wasn't sure where I'd find it (for free). And I was already feeling depressed and down thinking about what happened twenty years ago. I can't really think of other movies involving airplanes that I'd say I really liked or thought was really good. I guess 'Sully' was pretty good though.
