Hi Sharon! I appreciate this section since I am an avid book reader. I reside in a rural area and there are not any book stores within a reasonable drive of here. So I purchase from amazon.com.

Chris and Silver introduced me to thriftbooks.com which is awesome if you aren't picky about it being brand new.

Books-A-Million is a pretty cool place! The past few years they've started to add more fandom things. Occasionally we go to Barnes & Noble, too.

I miss Waldenbooks. They were great... Then they got taken over by Borders... and then borders closed its doors. Sadly, though, there aren't that many new books that I care for. I like older books, mostly.

I mostly order books in a Dutch online store. It’s similar to Amazon.

'Barnes & Noble' is a cool place to look in when I'm in the U.S.. The only bookstore here where I live is called 'Coles'.

I miss Books A Million! They closed the only one remotely in my area years ago. Tbh... I normally buy books from Walmart or Target because I don't have enough money to buy stuff from Barnes & Nobles lol I only go there if I can't find it at wm or Target.

Does anyone else buy at their local used book stores? My city is a big city so we have several good used book stores. I also like to find books at my local thrift stores.

I plan on giving them a couple books I have here myself soon... They give store credit for books you give them if they're in decent shape and the store owners feel they can sell them.

They come in handy for the older books, but I just feel bad using them in a way because the author only gets paid for the original sale of the new book, they don't get paid for any subsequent sales when it's new... and I don't feel that's right. Still, sometimes there's no other way to get the books
