I don’t know if ya’ll have this but they’re opening new locations all the time, Ollie’s Bargain Outlet has a ton of books at amazing prices and they are brand new. There might be some flaws in printing or something every know and then though.

I love scoping out second-hand books, or making use of the library. However on the occassion I need to purchase (a physical book), book depository and wordery have pretty competitive prices. I still have my kindle (Amazon) though unfortunately I haven't got much use out of it

Over here (The Netherlands) prices for books in online stores and book stores are pretty much the same. The big advantage of ordering books online is that they have a lot more available and you don't have to leave the house. In book stores you don't always find what you need. They offer to order it for you, but that's pointless since you can order it online yourself. I sometimes go to a big book store in Germany, mostly to check out calendars.

The local public library where I live has a group affiliated with it called Friends Of The Library. Once or twice a year they have a used book sale. The most recent one was last month and they had five thousand used books there. I usually am there for 2 or 3 hours looking through all the books and I have found some excellent books to read. I purchased over ten books at the most recent sale. Based on my experience Amazon.com has the largest selection of new and used books for online shopping. I also like to visit book stores but I live in a rural area and it is a long drive to reach one of them so I shop online. Our local public library also has a wonderful selection of books.

I really want to go to a Barnes and Noble because where I live we don't have one but we do have Waterstones which I love with all my heart. One time I went in just to look at a special edition cover of this book I love and the person working at the time came up to me and said how she was saving one copy which had a signature inside but decided to give it to me and I feel like every time I've been inside Waterstones I have always been treated so well and it's the most beautiful building but its a bit pricey compared to the Works which is like 4.99 for a book and sometimes even sets like Shatter me are 12.99 which is super cheap.
