Am I the only one who thinks that Would've, Could've, Should've is sounding like a song that is made for a rock version? I think you can definitely classify that song as a rock song. The drums and distortion on the guitar kind of reminds me of late 80's early 90's rock. I get a lot of Alanis Morrisette vibes from that song. It's like a slightly less angry version of You Oughta Know. It also reminded me of this Alanis song lyrically

But I mean, the song would be great for a rock version like the rock version of We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together she did on the 1989 tour. I was totally surprised by it, but it was great. I always like great rock music as long as it isn't just loud. I really like many songs from Bon Jovi for example.

I like a whole bunch of rock music but I think it's because it's mostly what I grew up with. People have been asking Taylor to do a rock album for years. Now, I think I'd be a bit taken aback if she did death metal but I think she could do a really cool soft rock album. Sort of like Bon Jovi. She did sing "Livin' On A Prayer" that one time.

I'm also thinking that Taylor could do a great rock album since I saw the 1989 tour and since Better Than Revenge. And it is a genre she didn't made an album already, so maybe some day... I wouldn't want a real hardcore rock album, soft rock and one or two harder ones would be great. I grew up with German Schlager and I hate it

I grew up with German Schlager and I hate it I think I can safely say that between my dad, mom and older sister I had an extremely wide musical palette growing up. You know, if Taylor had taken out some of the country elements to Speak Now, it probably would have been classified as an emo album. A lot of the songs lyrically fit in with the music from that scene at the time. Especially Haunted.

Without knowing much about the emo style, I have to say that Speak Now still is my favourite album, together with Lover.

My mom and dad introduced me to a lot of good music. I'm pretty well rounded when it comes to music.

I wonder why Dear Reader and Would've, Could've, Should've isn't on the midnights album?

I wonder why Dear Reader and Would've, Could've, Should've isn't on the midnights album? I think they were both just too personal and she didn’t want the general public to analyse them. Probably the same reason “Bigger Than The Whole Sky” also didn’t make it.

My new favorite song from midnights is Your on your own kid. It grew on me. I didn't like it at first.

As promised many months ago, here is my Midnights song ranking!
1. Sweet Nothing 2. Would've Could've Should've 3. Hits Different 4. Maroon 5. Lavender Haze 6. Bejeweled 7. Glitch 8. Midnight Rain 9. Mastermind 10. Karma 11. Paris 12. Labyrinth 13. Snow on the Beach 14. Question...? 15. Anti-Hero 16. High Infidelity 17. You're On Your Own, Kid 18. The Great War 19. Bigger Than the Whole Sky (I do love this song, it is just far too sad for me to listen to) 20. Dear Reader 21. Vigilante nuggets (yes, I realized the naughty word filter will change this to nuggets. I am leaving it cuz this song is nuggets.)
Okay, this was actually really really hard. This is one of my favorite Taylor albums and truly the only songs I don't like are Vigilante nuggets and Dear Reader. The rest of the album slaps, and Sweet Nothing is my number 1!
