I keep thinking about how excited the fans must have been to see their pictures in the lyric video. They were lucky enough to meet Taylor early in her career and now they’re part of the beginning of Taylor taking her music back. I listened to Fearless a little bit last night on my iPod. I’m sad I don’t own a physical copy of the platinum edition of Fearless but maybe if I’m lucky, I’ll find one in an antique store or thrift store one day. Honestly, I don’t think it’s completely set in that in just 2 months, we’ll have Fearless (Taylor’s Version). I can’t wait to welcome it home. I’ve been thinking about a little more of my memories with Fearless. Jamming out to Change while playing Frizzle Fraz on girlsgogames AFJDKFJSKFN pretty sure that was how I unwound after coming home from middle school. My book bag was the Rolling Stone bag until one of the straps broke... Looking at the cards in Kmart, spotting a Taylor one, noticing it says “plays ‘Jump Then Fall’”, and wondering when she released that. That was probably how I found out about the existence of the platinum edition. Once at a sleepover, I sang You’re Not Sorry (or it might have been White Horse) for my friends, well, as much as I could before I felt like I couldn’t breathe because I was so nervous. I think I was thinking about auditioning for whatever the school play was that year and I was telling one of the girls about it and she asked me to sing something. Kinda hurt when my best friend at the time told me I sounded like a dying cat... But that’s fine. Most of the time now, I think I sound pretty good while singing along to music. Anyway, it’s going to be really fun looking back on my memories with each album. I think I’ve decided that I’m most excited to hear an updated version of her cover of Untouchable. It’s always been one of my favorites on this album. But an updated version of Jump Then Fall sounds exciting, too! And the piano version of Forever & Always... I’M EXCITED FOR IT ALL. Especially the 6 new songs, of course. It’s going to make me emotional hearing 31 year old Taylor sing songs that 16-18 year old Taylor wrote.

I have to say, Taylor really surprised me. Afte listening to the new Love Story I have to say that she can still sing like she was whith 18 years. I never thought that she can sing like that. And because she made it that way, the song has exactly the same magic like the original one. I just heard two small differences in her singing. And I think I've heard a small difference from the violin at one point.

And even if someone is still like “Nope, nothing can replace the originals.”, hopefully they’re at least happy to watch Taylor own her old music.

They doesn't have to replace the old versions, they can perfectly exist together I'm very excited to hear You Belong With Me, I hope it sounds the same amount like the original one. But I'm even more excited for the six unreleased ones and hope they sound like young Taylor too.

paramore will never play Misery Business live ever again because of shaming in the song and just the growing process. I will say that the hate towards Miz Biz was a bit misguided too because the same crowd that criticized Paramore for that song have NO problem singing along to "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" but that's a conversation for a different day. I'm happy Paramore moved on from Miz Biz. It was fun to see live but there are so many better songs on Riot. I'm happy CrushCrushCrush is finally getting the love it deserves in live shows. It took me 11 years to see I Caught Myself live. That song got me over my ex best friend (who was leading me on and being super toxic for a long time... convo for another day)so I am glad other songs are getting the highlight too. Truth be told even when I was played live it was special to see fans on stage, but it wore out for me quickly. If i have the vinyl on will I listen yes. I also think that even with the in today's eyes look at Better Than Revenge, I would honestly listen to that because Speak Now hits me a bit deeper than RIOT! does.

I feel like all of us, including Taylor even, are always going to have a soft spot for the originals. We can enjoy both. As long as we only stream Taylor’s Versions. I made a Taylor, 5sos, and Fall Out Boy playlist on Spotify a while ago and I can’t wait to be able to listen to it again when I can add the re-recorded songs. It’s going to be so cool to own each original CD and the re-recorded CD!

Oh my god when they finally put "I Caught Myself" on the setlist for the After Laughter tour I nearly lost my mind. I think when Paramore finally start touring again they'll probably find another song to pull up a fan onstage for. I don't think that tradition is going to end. My guess is that "That's What You Get" or "Still Into You" will be the next Miz Biz. I agree that I will listen to both Miz Biz and Better than Revenge if I'm listening to the full album but their not really the songs I go back and listen to on their own. I can't see Taylor changing it though because it is a period piece. I think she may just put a content warning on it or something.

I've gotten to see paramore three times and Taylor none..... Financially it would cost me the same as say a music festival to go see her. My area doesn't really have opportunity for large crowd concerts (I AM TALKING POST COVID). I got my fearless live bluray at the dollar store... Think I am ok to watch it since I bought the new record?

And I would always buy or stream stuff that is from her old label, Wether Taylor nor Big Machine and their new owners would really be hurt (in money or else) if you listen to stuff from the other. I'm pretty sure that I get a complete shitstorm for saying this, but this whole discussion about don't listening to her older music because it's owned by Big Machine is a bit like kindergarden behaviour when two or more 5 year old kids ae arguing or fighting about something. I think the fans made more out of it than it really is (in Germany we have a saying like: They made an elephant from a fly).

After the announcement that Taylor was going to re-record her masters, I made a menial Tumblr post begging Taylor to enhance the sound quality of the new versions. And that she has (not because of my post ha, but b*g m*ch*ne compressed the crap out of most of her work, and the crispness of the new love story is just 💖)

Think I am ok to watch it since I bought the new record? Yeah you're probably safe to watch it. I doubt the dollar store is giving any money back to big machine. Although I think Journey To Fearless had been posted to YouTube for free for years, I have no idea if it's still there and Big Machine has a chance to possibility get money from that so your blu-ray is probably the safest bet. I will say, if you ever have the chance to see Taylor live then you should absolutely go. It's an insane thing to experience. Just the showmanship, her talent, the power she has over a crowd, it's unmatched to anything I've ever seen (this isn't a dig at other big arena acts either, it's just the atmosphere of her shows are just insane. She somehow manages to make everyone in a stadium of 20,000 people feel like they know her personally). Taylor and Paramore are the 2 acts I will see every time I get the chance to. I'm never disappointed at either of their shows (I've seen both 4 times).

I'm never disappointed at either of their shows (I've seen both 4 times). Paramore are fantastic live I agree! I’ve seen them 3 times. I have a handful of artists I would see live no matter what. They are: paramore(3 times) Pop Evil (6 Times) Alice In Chains (3 times) Pearl Jam (once) .38 Special (5 Times) Alice In Chains (2 Times) Three Days Grace (5 times. Two with Adam 3 with Matt) Diamanté (2 Times) Tonight Alive (2 Times) The Pretty Reckless (2 Times) Stone Sour (Once) Pearl Jam’s felt like you were describing Taylor. I saw them at Hampton Colosseum. Everyone was singing along and clapping in time. Small venous compared to what Taylor plays, but still. It’s been 5 years and I still revisit the offices bootleg of my concert of PJ. I’ve never felt so intimate in a big crowd like I did when I saw them. I hope the same for Taylor, it’s a fever dream to think a doofus like me would get picked for a M+G so I have my signed CD. Though to be fair I have extra signed stuff in bins all around my house so... I’m ok without LOL

I think the fans made more out of it than it really is (in Germany we have a saying like: They made an elephant from a fly). You might as well have tagged me. I’m still going to enjoy the originals, too, but I am going to make sure that I never give another cent to those a**h*l*s at Big Machine ever again. At least as far as Taylor’s music goes. I’ve been hoping Lady A and Florida Georgia Line would switch labels but they either don’t want to or can’t right now but I’m not going to punish them by illegally downloading their music. I don’t understand why Taylor herself saying she was never given the opportunity to own her own work and how she’s upset by this wasn’t enough for all of her fans to sympathize with her. I’m just so lost that some people think Big Machine did nothing wrong. Maybe not from a business point of view. But how can Scott act like a friend or maybe extended family member even to Taylor all those years and end up selling her music to someone that she asked him not to sell it to? Why did he not think “Maybe Taylor would like to own her music...?” because what sense does it make for anyone other than the artist to own the music? I have seen some people say we should act like the originals never existed which is stupid, to me. Without them, we wouldn’t be getting these re-recorded albums. There’s nothing wrong with listening to those CDs and still loving them even after all of the re-recorded albums are out. But, speaking for myself, I want to see Taylor own her music and I will only stream/buy her versions from here on out. Unless I spot one of the original CDs in a secondhand store. Furthermore, it’s going to really irritate me if people are going to start saying things like “Ugh, Taylor needs to get over this.” She was betrayed and deeply hurt. You don’t just “get over” things like that. If she wants to continue to talk about her feelings towards the situation and take shots at them, I believe she has every right to.
