Sounds like it was ripped right out of the early to mid 80s to me. On the fence on how I feel about it.
But I gotta be that guy, maybe I'm reading too deeply into it, but what's the effect going on in the dark black ending of the video? Is there something there or am I thinking there's something there?

There's still the little snowflake things there! Maybe it's to emphasise the sudden ending of the song.

It's my favourite of the three so far. However, my thoughts: - The song feels unfinished. I know everyone is hyped up about 18 songs (so am I, lmao), BUT if they're all similar length, that means we're not getting songs any longer than 4 mins (and neither song so far has even been that long). I feel like she can't fit enough lyrical content into the song to attain the 'feeling' she wants with such a short cut.
- I love Taylor's collabs with Antonof but was expecting chorus drums to kick in for that true 80s ballad (I still feel, despite my love of LWYMMD, it too feels 'unfinished', it needed a drop, even though Jack doesn't come across as a boom boom boom kinda guy).

There's still the little snowflake things there! No there's something big in like the middle left of the screen. Like when everything behind the snowflake things goes black, there's something moving that's dark gray.

I turned up my phone brightness all the way so I could see it better and took this screenshot, maybe I was just seeing things but there is some kind of affect added to the black that keeps movement in the background. Guess my eyes were playing tricks on me thinking there was something there that wasn't there.

I mean Taylor's star/zodiac sign is sagittarius and the symbol for sagittarius is an archer. This could be a bit of a stretch though....although she DID promote me with stars too and there's the infamous palm tree photo that had a star overlay on it.....

Forgive my crude outline and my MaD PaInT SkIlLs™, but this here is like moving behind the star/snowflake looking things. That's what caught my eye.

I agree that there maybe should've been more drums in the background and it sort of feels not finished in some way.

Hmm, I'm not seeing much difference between those sections but that could just be an editing thing. They probably stretched the effect out longer so the fade would seem more subtle. Also this black is a bit darker than a normal broadcast black so it could be your monitor just trying to get to the darkest colour. That or the darkest areas of the screen are just not where the effect is overlayed. That's my guess anyways.

I see what you were talking about in the video (not so much here though). To me it made me think of a blinking eye for some reason? But I don’t think it’s anything
