Might not be able to see my dentist for a while so my brain thinks it’s cool to think “What if you get a cavity? What if you lose one of your baby teeth?” It’s been YEARS since I last had a cavity but here I am like OH MY GOD I’M GOING TO GET ONE AND MY TOOTH IS GOING TO ROT OUT 😭😭😭😭 You will be fine. Stick with what you do now. Over here dentists are still available for emergencies.

People are getting reckless more and more on the corona front. And countries are too eager to loosen the lockdown. Since Germany opened up smallers stores last week, numbers are rising slowly again. Even countries that were in big trouble, like Italy, Spain and France are planning to open up over the next month. That is too early if you ask me. If this continues, everything is messed up again in the summer.

If this continues, everything is messed up again in the summer. On the one hand, we do need to try to prevent the virus. On the other hand, I can kind of understand it. I've only left my dad's house to go food shopping for 6 weeks now, and I can really feel that this is starting to take a toll on me mentally. I was fine at first, but now I've noticed my moods are far more volatile and I'm feeling down a lot more frequently. I have to admit, if places started to open up I would be tempted to go to somewhere that was low capacity just to get a break from this monotony. I understand it's risking getting the virus, but I just don't know how much longer I can take being stuck in one place and be ok. I imagine attitudes are similar in other European countries, and it gets to the point where you're going to have to weigh up in preventing corona is going to be worth all the mental health issues that are going to be the result of this.

I understand people getting a bit restless. But if you open up a bit, go outside. Go take a walk in nature. Don’t go to the city, stores or even shopping centers. That will not help you at all mentally. For those at home: you can get some exercise too. Plus it’s important to start working on your mental stability if you have a hard time being alone. Today Ikea opened up again in The Netherlands and lines were ridiculously long. That’s beyond sad...

Today Ikea opened up again in The Netherlands and lines were ridiculously long. That’s beyond sad... I am going outside. We're not supposed to drive anywhere so I'm limited to my very small local area. There are only so many places to walk to and visit or run to before it gets repetitive and boring, especially after six weeks. I'm not mentally unstable because I can't handle being alone. Humans are sociable creatures, we're meant to be in groups and around other people. I'm not advocating huge shops reopening or anything, I don't think we should be hosting concerts or anything bigger than groups of maybe 10. I do think it's starting to get to the point where they need to allow small groups to gather or else we're doing to see one of the worst mental health crises this country, or even the world, will have seen.

There have been a lot more cars out and about here lately that I've noticed. And some stores are pretty busy and almost the same as what they were before the virus.

I can see both sides of the argument. I do think they are lifting restrictions too early. And I say that because when you give people an inch, they take a mile. When lockdowns have been lifted too early in the past, the virus spikes, and back to square one we go. There are still so many people who couldn't behave themselves during full lockdown, it only takes a few idiots for a community to be affected. At the moment, where I live there have been very few (if any) new recorded cases. So I hope as they ease restrictions, it won't end regretfully. I have had some shocking days being cooped up. But I know the only thing that would be worse than this is having to go back to this for a second time, for the reasons stated above...

But I also understand your worries that progress could be wiped out if you open up too fast. In my opinion you guys should wait for new infections to get (close to) zero before you open up some things. Over here we are not being wise. Like you said: even with strict measures people are crossing lines. With every measure to open up a bit the risk increases exponentially. I hope our prime minister will stay strict and wait a few more weeks before we move on.

We're definitely not done with this corona thing. It bothers me that so many dummies are storming out again. In too many countries they're completely focused on a plan to open up. It's too early for most. We'll suffer the consequences if this continues. Reproduction rate in Germany is above 1 again. Cases in Spain increased. South-Korea had a bunch of new infection (from people clubbing, wtf). The US are trying to open up while numbers are still through the roof over there. Even China has new infections again.
