Dang. I thought my expensive earbuds already died. The left one had no sound. I tried them over and over. I was ready to throw them against the wall. Got really stressed to find out if I still have warranty. I do, so I started looking into that while having dinner. Just when I was ready to submit the replacement request, I decided to try them one last time…and they suddenly worked again Not amused, but okay, they work again. I don't like earbuds because of what happened to you plus I just don't like things in my ears anyways I use headphones instead. Maybe you should get some headphones? Yeah, I used wired in-ear headphones, now wireless. But they are pretty fragile. I use headphones when I play piano. But I can’t use those for my phone. I could buy some extra (bigger) headphones to use with my phone. But maybe they are also fragile.

I tried Microsoft's cloud gaming for the first time and it's so cool! It worked flawlessly for me. No buffering and the quality didn't look that much different than playing on an actual Xbox. I don't see myself buying anymore consoles in the future. I wish it wasn't just limited to Samsung TVs for right now though.

I never have any issues watching Netflix, YouTube or F1. I don’t even have a high speed internet connection. I think gaming will be the next step. Thinking about that. It could really change the whole hardware market.

Down the road Microsoft will dominate this market heavily. They already dominate the computer world. With gaming streaming and Activision Blizzard they will crush competition. It might even push Sony/Playstation out of the market.

Once international travel goes back to pre-pandemic normal, this is something I would like to try out with my mobile wallet, especially within East and Southeast Asia.

I am now eligible for a new phone❣ Now Do I stick with iPhone or try a Galaxy phone? Idk if you got a new phone already, but if you haven't, as someone who has had both, I definitely recommend the galaxy!

Got quite some new gadgets for in my house: A new thermometer (both inside as outside), an electric blanket (to pre-heat my bed) and an electric massage device.

I need a new PC. The old one is still somewhat working, but the graphics card is dead. It’s hard to make a decision. The PC market is a moving target: prices of components go up and down and there’s always something new and promising on the horizon. At the moment I’m still in the 1080p era. So one of the questions is if I should go for the smaller step 1440p or go all the way to 4K. For 4K you need a very high end PC, at least if you want to play new games and use it for a long time. On the other hand I’m not a person that buys a ton of new games every year. I’m actually the opposite: I stick with certain games for years. I like Civilization, but that’s not a very demanding game. I also like some first person shooters. Compared to my old PC, every new PC is a beast of course. So I might be aiming too high. Any thoughts from you guys? Any advice?

Have you guys read about Microsoft launching its AI feature called Recall on Windows 11? They just gave me another reason to get a lot closer to permanently switching to Linux and dumping Windows once and for all.

They just gave me another reason to get a lot closer to permanently switching to Linux and dumping Windows once and for all. I share your concern. Devices are already a security risk. We don’t need a hasty push for “AI” that makes it worse. To be fair: there are probably already similar things going on without our knowledge. The worst part is that there’s no alternative. If you use another OS (assuming it’s less vulnerable), you’ll be vulnerable through applications anyway. Honestly, I love computers, but once you’re dealing with valuable things like banking/payments or Taylor tickets, it becomes quite stressful.

I wonder if it's finally time for me to fully embrace Linux.
