I had my interview for the apple store today but I'm feeling kind of meh about it. The position is only a seasonal one. Doesn't seem worth it to leave my job of the last 8 years to risk not having a job come January. Even though I'm annoyed by my current workplace, I have to be careful and decisive. I want a job that's going to provide me experience for my future career of teaching. I don't think the apple store is that. I think I'm going to focus on getting CPR trained and getting the other training that allows people to work with kids and see where that gets me. I know that means I have to deal with more nonsense from my current workplace but it makes more sense than leaving just to make a point. My bosses need to lose me to something better so they can see all the potential they missed out on.

My summer vacation is almost over. Next Wednesday I will have to go to work again. Not looking forward to it, obviously. We might need to change the title of this part of the forum to “The Work Threat”.

My union is super lame. They just came to a new agreement and they’re changing a bunch of things. This week they have me a lump sum payment of what I’ve earned for vacation thus far this year which is all well and good except for the fact that they did that because they’re taking away our lump sum payment in January and paying out our vacation on a bi-weekly basis. It’s a bummer cause that lump sum payment after January really helps me get out of Christmas debt. Now I have to plan accordingly. I was also hoping that I could pay off my car with that payment but that going to have to wait until I get my tax return.
