I feel like she is not open minded in the songs as she was in the past. I am losing the touch of her true feelings in the lyrics. Its more and more close to the mainstream albums with hits for a few nights. But its still very good. There are songs I can hear again and again, they are addictive. I feel similarly. They’re are plenty of really good songs. They’re fun and enjoyable to listen too. They’re catchy. Just not sure there is as much depth there.

Don't get me wrong, I love Taylor... BUT I feel like she's drifting away from her "real" self by saying " She's Dead". Like, I know in this era she's being more "real" and not caring what everyone thinks, but it just seems like not her. I feel like her fashion style has downgraded and she isn't the cute/girly Speak Now and Red era Taylor anymore. And I feel like the performances have been better in the past as well. I love reputation, but there is a handful of songs that I think are kind of not her/lyrically weak. Idk... I just miss the old Taylor, I guess. I felt this more in the '1989' era and I felt this way at the start of the 'Reputation' era. I don't know how to feel anymore about her...She's honestly changed so much from what she was like in 2006 and that isn't good to see (in some ways)...

I don't think it's fair to say she's lost herself when literally everyone who knows her personally is saying she's incredibly happy right now-that's not how those who are lost are generally described. I think she's just grown up and is following the trends more. This applies to both her style (comfy unisex looks have been in for a while, whereas the girly looks she wore in earlier eras like Speak Now and Fearless were also heavily on trend then) and her music (1989 started to latch onto current pop trends at the time, rep is definitely latching on to the popularity of hip hop and rap as well as the electro pop style that has become more common recently). There's nothing wrong with that on my opinion, I think she's just having fun expressing herself in a different way. I don't really buy into the whole "I'm happier than ever" thing. That's part of the propaganda that comes from her team and with this era. Taylor is definitely trying hard to get over the stuff that happened the past years. But she's not there yet. And that's okay, it takes time. But I do think it was too early to come back. And I don't agree that she has become more mature. Writing about drinking and sex doesn't make you mature. Actually the whole "my exes were horrible and my new baby is so much better in every aspect" is quite juvenile and it's getting old. I would've liked to see her write about more profound subjects. That would've been a sign of her getting more mature. In my opinion the way Taylor is acting reminds me a lot of teenage behavior. It all started with the bleached hair and the Coachella partying and it's not over. Maybe she is trying to recapture some sort of youth. I didn't think of this era that way previous to reading your post but I do agree with you, Roman.

also @paintrain , you may have also not seen, but a lot of old fans were alienated by 1989 as well, and left the forum or fandom. some I agree felt even MORE alienated with Reputation, but 1989 has a similar affect. I’m aware of that. Especially country fans were disappointed with 1989. And for some others it took some time to get used to pop-Taylor. But this era it has been pretty bad. So many loyal fans that never doubted Taylor were shocked or at least far from impressed. And even the ones who were keeping a positive attitude: when I asked them privately what they thought of the album, they were quite disappointed too. And that really scares me, because the last thing I want is for Taylor to fail. I really hope the Tour will make up for a lot and people will stick with Taylor until the next era. And obviously I hope Taylor will take the criticism to heart. She always did that in the past.

I like the baggy style of sweatshirts she has been wearing (as that's basically my style it seems), and I love how she has been wearing sparkly and sequin-covered sweaters lately. But I don't like when she tries to be overly different. In my opinion she tries way too hard with the trends that go on at times. She should just be herself. She should be the one who knows to be herself the most and not to follow style trends.

The 'Pitch Perfect' movies look so stupid and I never want to watch them. Rebel Wilson is so annoying and not funny at all.

My current avatar is a picture of my family's two dogs when they got their picture taken with Santa a few weeks ago. I posted the same picture in the 'Pets & Animals' thread (in the 'Off-Topic' section) and in the 'Pet Photos' thread (in the 'Photo Lab' part of the 'Creation Corner' section) as well.

you realize you are both treading dangerous ground... Sorry...I just don't understand it. It would be different maybe if it was about something real. 'Jurassic Park' is sort of the same type of movie as it's "sci-fi" sort of, but it's at least about things that actually lived before us.
