I don't mean to drag my vent out or anything but I had one more thing to say. I wonder how long Taylor actually had this app in mind. Was the whole reason she ever interacted with fans on social media was so that she can build excitement for this app? When she was on Tumblr and Instagram she wasn't actually making money with that so she disappeared from social media and then pops up with this app for the era that she will probably be exclusively interacting on from now on. I don't know. I find it ironic that you don't hardly ever hear anything about her tv channel anymore, and it was launched with quite a bit of hype too. What I don't think she realizes is that she alienates a lot of the people who stuck with her up until now by doing things like this, and especially with this new attitude. She had impressed me with the way she took time out for her fans in the early days. now she's done a complete turnaround and it's just not nice to see. I forgot about her tv channel. It would suck if you paid money for it and she doesn't put out new content for it. She might not mind alienating prior fans because a lot of people will still support her. She's so different now. It's like she has been body snatched lol.

I remembered hearing in the news that it was supposed to come out late last year I think. So it probably was correlated with when she would "come back" but she didn't end up releasing her 6th album in a two year time period like she did before for all of her previous albums. So she released the app now...

I think I remember maybe hearing about a TV channel but I had no idea where it was going to be or if only U.S. fans would get it as usual. I forgot about it too (because I never knew where it was or what it was about). This isn't the same as the 'Taylor Swift Now' thing?

I think it was a direct TV thing only available to fans in the US... so yeah, nothing like ignoring the rest of your fans, there, Taylor (and I live in the US)

I will always love Taylor but I haven't agreed with a lot of her choices and decisions relating to fans and her "publicity" over the past few years...
I still don't like how she stands and poses on a red carpet like she's over-confident and that everyone should bow down to her.

I mean, I know everyone's entitled to their own opinion on Taylor and stuff but I don't know...I don't think I agree with what you all have said. Like the not caring about fans bit. Didn't she invite 500+ fans to her houses to listen to reputation? Didn't she surprise fans at the pop-up stores to meet them? Hasn't she been noticing people on Tumblr after an event? Sure, it's mostly people she follows but there's a few that got noticed for the first time. Didn't she invite fans to meet backstage at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball and at Poptopia? She probably will tomorrow too!
What I think it is, is that she wants to be more private this era. Since she was a teenager, she's had the whole world criticizing her every move and all up in her business and that's taken a toll. She just wants to be with friends, family, and true fans. I say true fans since some that claimed they were fans trashed her during the whole Kimye garbage and I'm sure that hurt her.
And then with the ticket prices, it sounds like the VIP packages come with a lot of stuff! Plus, your seat is closer to the stage so obviously the closer you are to the stage, the more it's going to cost. But even if you sat at the top (like I did for the 1989 tour and will be for this tour) it wouldn't be bad! I'm sure every stadium she's going to has those big screens and stuff. I've been thinking that if you really want to go, you'll sit wherever as long as you get to say you're going.
Last thing, I'm pretty sure The Swift Life is a free app. Not sure if you were saying we'd have to pay for it once it came out or not...and I don't think I heard about this T.V. channel other than the TSNow stuff. I think Big Machine was starting Big Machine T.V. or something like that if that's what y'all are talking about.

I think Big Machine was starting Big Machine T.V. or something like that if that's what y'all are talking about. It's fine that you don't agree with what I said. I expected more people to disagree since this site is full of her fans after all. Taylor is also benefitting from all of the things you mentioned. Her being at the pop store meant more people would show up and if more people showed up than more people will be buying merchandise. The other things are good publicity for her. The big problem I've seen with the ticket prices is that the first couple of rows in the lower level and the seats towards the back of the floor shouldn't be priced as VIP tickets. There should have been more options for people who wanted good seats and not the VIP package that comes with it to decrease the price. And the fact that a good portion of floor seats were blocked off for AMEX cardholders instead of the people who participated in Taylor Tix is just not fair. It seems like you are getting less with the VIP packages for more money compared to the last tour. "I've been thinking that if you really want to go, you'll sit wherever as long as you get to say you're going" This statement is a bad gullible mindset to have because that means you don't mind these terrible prices and that's exactly how people are getting taken advantage of this era. The Swift Life app itself is free but I was saying that there will probably be a lot of in-app purchases to go along with it which will prioritize fans.

What annoys me too is that Taylor obviously has favorites, or stupid 'Taylor Nation' does for that matter. I won't believe she doesn't have favorites until someone like me or someone else from this forum gets chosen to meet her.

I won't believe she doesn't have favorites until someone like me or someone else from this forum gets chosen to meet her. My opinion on her favorites is that she knows that those fans have a lot of followers so she's going want to keep meeting those fans. Doing that shows that Taylor has a friendly relationship with her fans and the followers of the favorite fans feel like they will one day get a chance to meet her, which odds are they won't. Personally, I don't care about interacting with celebrities or meeting them. Sure it would be nice to meet Taylor but I don't really care. It's wrong in our society how we place famous people on a pedestal and Taylor is smart to capitalize on this honestly even though her "relationship" with fans is pretty weird.

I think for some people it's important to meet a person you look up to. It is wrong for people to want to meet people if they're celebrities though, like to want to meet celebrities all the time just to show off that you had. I just want to meet Taylor because I've loved her for so long. My breaking point was in 2011 after my 'Speak Now' Tour concert and I think then I realized it was actually impossible to meet her.

How can you look up to someone that you don't actually know? Also, why when you dislike my posts do I never see it show up on my dislike count? Lol
