How can you look up to someone that you don't actually know? Also, why when you dislike my posts do I never see it show up on my dislike count? Lol I'm just surprised you wouldn't understand wanting to meet Taylor as you're a fan of hers. Other than saying I love her music there really wouldn't be anything for me to say to her and I'm sure she hears that a lot so I don't see the point.

You watch them from afar, how they worked so hard to achieve their goals and dreams, how they treat people and interact with their fans, how they’re so committed to and refining their craft, how passionate and energetic they’re in regards to whatever their profession is.

I think the point would be telling Taylor or whoever that person is and just tell them the incredible impact they’ve had on your life. For me at least Taylor has had a way of helping me through adversity in my life. I’ve seen how she’s overcome some of the same challenges in her life and it’s inspired me. I’ve seen her continuing to find ways to improve and improve and never really being content with where she’s at in her life or profession. I would start there.

That’s mine and how I’d feel about meeting Taylor or anyone I’ve looked up too. With that said I don’t think my life would be incomplete if it didn’t happen.

I mean, I know everyone's entitled to their own opinion on Taylor and stuff but I don't know...I don't think I agree with what you all have said. Like the not caring about fans bit. Didn't she invite 500+ fans to her houses to listen to reputation? Didn't she surprise fans at the pop-up stores to meet them? Hasn't she been noticing people on Tumblr after an event? Sure, it's mostly people she follows but there's a few that got noticed for the first time. Didn't she invite fans to meet backstage at the iHeartRadio Jingle Ball and at Poptopia? She probably will tomorrow too! What I think it is, is that she wants to be more private this era. Since she was a teenager, she's had the whole world criticizing her every move and all up in her business and that's taken a toll. She just wants to be with friends, family, and true fans. I say true fans since some that claimed they were fans trashed her during the whole Kimye garbage and I'm sure that hurt her. And then with the ticket prices, it sounds like the VIP packages come with a lot of stuff! Plus, your seat is closer to the stage so obviously the closer you are to the stage, the more it's going to cost. But even if you sat at the top (like I did for the 1989 tour and will be for this tour) it wouldn't be bad! I'm sure every stadium she's going to has those big screens and stuff. I've been thinking that if you really want to go, you'll sit wherever as long as you get to say you're going. Last thing, I'm pretty sure The Swift Life is a free app. Not sure if you were saying we'd have to pay for it once it came out or not...and I don't think I heard about this T.V. channel other than the TSNow stuff. I think Big Machine was starting Big Machine T.V. or something like that if that's what y'all are talking about. It's fine that you don't agree with what I said. I expected more people to disagree since this site is full of her fans after all. Taylor is also benefitting from all of the things you mentioned. Her being at the pop store meant more people would show up and if more people showed up than more people will be buying merchandise. The other things are good publicity for her. The big problem I've seen with the ticket prices is that the first couple of rows in the lower level and the seats towards the back of the floor shouldn't be priced as VIP tickets. There should have been more options for people who wanted good seats and not the VIP package that comes with it to decrease the price. And the fact that a good portion of floor seats were blocked off for AMEX cardholders instead of the people who participated in Taylor Tix is just not fair. It seems like you are getting less with the VIP packages for more money compared to the last tour. "I've been thinking that if you really want to go, you'll sit wherever as long as you get to say you're going" This statement is a bad gullible mindset to have because that means you don't mind these terrible prices and that's exactly how people are getting taken advantage of this era. The Swift Life app itself is free but I was saying that there will probably be a lot of in-app purchases to go along with it which will prioritize fans. Well, I don't even bother to look at the VIP packages since I'm not the one paying and I know my parents won't pay for tickets over $80, in fact, my dad would probably rather me not go at all! But missing the chance to hear Don't Blame Me live? Too bad, I'm going! I don't see how it's gullible. Sure, I'm not the one paying and it would probably be a different story if I was but I'm not going to pitch a fit to my parents like I'm 2 instead of 20 to buy me VIP tickets. A lot of people are acting like the seats at the top are worthless but you can have just as much fun up there as you would in the pit or wherever. So that's what I meant when I said that. If for some reason you can't afford floor/pit tickets, you'll be okay with nosebleed seats as long as you can go. I'm sure if we had a breakdown of why each ticket was this amount or that amount, it would make more sense.

I'm sure if we had a breakdown of why each ticket was this amount or that amount, it would make more sense. It's not that the top seats are worthless. It's just some of the upper sections are priced too highly for what they are. Sure, it might be as fun as pit, but it doesn't make sense that your money went further on previous tours. Take shandimusic94 post in the Ticket Prices thread, for example, she's in section 230 and she paid $157.40 for each ticket. For a price around that amount I was able to sit towards the middle of the floor for one of my Red concerts, which was a stadium show. Look at josephjes post in the Ticket Prices thread he's in section 129 and he paid $906 for 2 tickets for near that same amount he was at the front of the catwalk for the 1989 tour. I paid around $900 for 2 tickets and was second row from the stage for one of my Red concerts and for that same amount I was right at the catwalk for 1989. Now for that amount I'm towards the back of the floor. It personally doesn't make sense to me how prices could have skyrocketed this much compared to last tour.

I think Big Machine was starting Big Machine T.V. or something like that if that's what y'all are talking about. The thing with inviting people... when it appears to be the same ones over and over who get invited, she can't really say she cares much about ALL her fans... just a select few. The VIP package, for the prices they were charging even on the red tour, should have come with a meet and greet. The fact that they don't is just insane. And the big screens? If I wanted to watch a screen, I'd stay home. The sad thing is that people ARE getting suckered in to buying more stuff for more money and really getting less for what they pay for. I had disagreed with the term "manipulative" before but I am not sure I still do because it's something I've seen since 1989. All kinds of pre-order "packages" for expensive prices, then each item in the pre-order became available on its own for sale later at a lot less. All to artificially pump up the number of sales for her album. Now it's done to trick you into buying more mediocre merchandise thinking you'll get better tickets the more merchandise you buy... and I won't even mention the fact that this all happens just before Christmas.

I can't remember, but were her tickets ever released in December before? That is actually suspicious when you think about it with the way these prices are this year.

I don't know. I was rather surprised the tour was announced so soon after the album was released.

This is more of a vent about Ticketmaster in general because Taylor and her team probably don't have control of the way tickets are distributed. The only option that I saw for the delivery method was "Go Mobile", it makes me wonder how all of the older Taylor fans that might not have a smartphone will be able to get into the show.

I remember the red concert you had the possibility of having them mailed, or picking up at the venue. For those people who are traveling pretty far distances, that last one is rather inconvenient, because they might not be able to get there to pick them up until the day of the show, and you're stuck if there's a problem with them at that point.
