some take their sports too seriously, i'm afraid... but i respect any team or single athlete that can compete fairly, without any pharmaceutical enhancements...

Not that much I think, only that countries that have no or only one or two players from the NHL could be better than normal. But I like to see the best players of the world all play for their country, and without the NHL players it isn't the case. I think that the USA will not be as good as they can be against russia and other top teams without any NHL players, I predict a third or fourth place for them and think that russia, sweden and canada will fight for the first 3 positions. I hope that germany will get to the second round and maybe can win against the USA again.  I'm sorry to admit this for any Americans here but I always boo the U.S. and I usually root for the other country that they're up against.  I hope Canada can get a gold medal again, that would be cool. It seems like Canada, the U.S., Sweden, and Russia are the top hockey teams. I don't think there are too many hockey teams anyways (maybe 10 at least?). I think that in the olympics there are 12 teams. I know that in the world cup there are 12 teams playing and even more in the many leagues that aren't on top level. |

You must not have very good TV channels then. Most of the events are happening when it's night time here or in the early morning, but local Canadian channels replay what happened over the previous day. |
