"Confidence is not "I don't care if they like me." It's "I'll be fine if they don't..."

"As fast as you conform your life to the pure idea in your mind, that will unfold its great proportions. A correspondent revolution in things will attend the influx of the spirit. So fast will disagreeable appearances- swine, spiders, snakes, pests, madhouses, prisons, enemies- vanish; they are temporary and shall be no more seen. The sordor and filths of nature, the sun shall dry up, and the wind exhale. As when the summer comes from the south; the snow-banks melt, and the face of the earth becomes green before it, so shall the advancing spirit create its ornaments along its path, and carry with it the beauty it visits, and the song which enchants it; it shall draw beautiful faces, warm hearts, wise discourse, and heroic acts, around its way, until evil is no more seen."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

I keep coming back to this song after I heard it for the first time a few years ago, and it's useful in a time like now with the virus. I sometimes find that it helps to listen to music that you feel understands you or is talking about your situation. "Better days, better days, are not so far away...""I've been down, I've been down Burning up like fever Better days, better days Are not so far away
I don't wanna waste a minute But if I gotta waste a minute I'd spend the time tryna' get my vibe on track And if I'm on a star, don't wanna spin it My life's up in flames, and I lit it I wonder if I'll ever get that good sh*t back
And I'll keep praying I make it Like someone worth saving I still got some fight left inside me
I've been down, I've been down Burning up like fever Better days, better days Are not so far away I've been lost, I've been found Now I believe in Better days, better days Are not so far away
Better days, better days Are not so far away Better days, better days Are not so far away
Guess I didn't break it, but I bent it I know I didn't say it, but I meant it I shoulda' had a little more heart and soul Oh, oh, f*ck the rear view mirror Our future looks a little bit clearer I'm turning every second into solid gold
And I'll keep praying I make it Like someone worth saving I still got some fight left inside me
I've been down, I've been down Burning up like fever Better days, better days Are not so far away I've been lost, I've been found Now I believe in Better days, better days Are not so far away
Better days, better days Are not so far away Better days, better days Are not so far away"

During these times it’s pretty good getting out of bed and being conscious during the day.

Instagram fitness 'gurus' are often just a portal for self-selling and advertisements. They serve a look, a 'trend'. They do not speak for healthy bodies in general. Some of the strongest people in the world are heavier in both muscle and fat. Not all athletes have shredded abs. Don't allow the Kardashian fitness trend (and it is a trend, which change about every decade) dictate how you should be.

Plus don't forget many of them have no qualifications at all so they're not in the right place to say what actually works-they can say what works for them and that's it. And that's so much of living a healthy life-finding what works for you, what makes you feel good, and rolling with that.

“Ever loved someone so much you would do anything for them? Yeah, well, make that someone yourself and do whatever the hell you want.”
