So, basically, this thread is just where when you see a new movie, you come here and rate it out of 10 on how well you liked it and why. I think it'll be kind of a fun thing to do.

'Happy Death Day' - 8/10
Everybody was saying how bad this movie was, and honestly, I did not think it was as horrible as everyone was making out to be. Sure, not the scariest movie, but very suspenseful, and I loved the storyline.

'Gifted' - 11/10
Today I watched this movie, and I think I cried a total of 10 times, at least. This movie was so, so, so good, excellent plot line, I would highly recommend.

Black Panther - 6/10
It wasn't bad... it wasn't their best -- it'd have a long way to go to beat Civil War -- but it wasn't bad.

Avengers Infinity War- 4 out of 10. There were some good parts, but over all... i'd have to say it was the worst of the bunch so far.

Solo -- 3 out of 10. Why so low? Harrison Ford gave Han Solo a certain style and panache, which this guy just didn't have at all. Compared to Ford, this guy, whoever he was, was flat and uninteresting. He ended up being just another cocky smart-mouthed young punk. He didn't feel like Han Solo at all. Woody Harrelson ... I'm sorry, but I couldn't stop thinking of the character he played on Cheers for how many years? It was distracting, and completely ruined the feel, every time i heard his voice. an actor isn't supposed to be a distraction to the part he's playing. There were no lightsabers, no Jedi Knights, no Force... just laser guns and spaceships. See Threepio and Artoo Detoo weren't there. There was no Luke Skywalker, no Yoda, and the familiar presence of the Empire was barely even felt at all. For all intents and purposes, it was a rather generic science fiction film, and not even a very interesting one at that. Chewbacca and the Falcon just weren't enough to make it "feel" like a Star Wars story, or like it was even in the same universe. I don't know how much of this is the fault of the director they had on the show at first, or how much blame should be placed on Ron Howard's shoulders, but obviously, the movie should have been rewritten. it just didn't work.

I like Woody... I started watching Cheers because of his role in The Hunger Games

Christopher Robin -- 9.98
It didn't get the perfect ten because the start was a little draggy and i don't feel that there really needed to be any pictures of him in world war one with explosions all over and whatnot, but once Pooh got there... it was great. A beautiful job for sure.

I haven't seen this movie so I can't give it a fair review but, from my understanding, Solo was meant to serve as Han's origin story of how he became a pilot. So it wouldn't have made sense (from a story standpoint) if the jedi's were there (as they went into hiding with the rise or Darth Vader), If the force was mentioned (once again, the jedi were in hiding), If C3P0 and R2D2 were there (as they met Han in the original film for the first time), If Luke and Leia were there (once again, they met Han in the first film and given their age gap the twins would have only had been 9 years old and what would a young, cocky pilot need to be hanging around a pair of 9 year olds for? Also Luke and Leia didn't even know each other so....), If Yoda was there (once again, in hiding, also Han was never a Jedi so Yoda wouldn't be to any use for him). Now I'm sure they could have beefed up the empire part a bit more but the empire was still young at that point so they were probably working on gaining territory and building the death star. Now I know it's disappointing going into a Star Wars film and not seeing the old gang but, from a story standpoint it would have completely messed up the continuity if they were all there.

Even just references to them, but there really wasn't anything. Like i said, Chewbacca and the falcon just weren't enough to carry the whole movie.
