If you got to meet Taylor and could tell her anything what would you say to her?
I’d have so much to tell her.
First off I’d thank you for being such an inspiration. I’d thank her for showing me and other Swifties dreams are possible with the necessary work ethic and determination. I’d thank her for always being genuine and staying true to herself. I’d tell her that I love, appreciate, and respect her so much for always making us fans feel apart of her journey. Tell her how good it feels to know how important we all are to her.
I’d thank her because I don’t know that I’d still be here without her. I’d specify why and tell her that sometimes life is just overbearing. Sometimes you feel you won’t make it. You feel defeated. Down. Dejected. You need someone special to uplift your spirits and just remind you it’ll be okay. I look at someone like her and see all the challenges she’s overcome. How far she’s come in her career. How courageous and mentally strong she’s been. Throughout all the bad breaks, bad days, heartbreak, etc. it never broke her.
I’d tell her the Mean song means so much because I too was a bullying victim. To see her talk about that stuff and how words can have an effect, but ultimately illustrating that actions are a lot more powerful than words. To let us all know no negative word defines us as people. That we’re not alone and don’t have to suffer in silence. That we can all come together as one and she is doing now chasing and living her dreams.
Next thing I’d tell Taylor is I really admire how no matter how much success she’s had in her terrific career she never got content. She always strived better and always found ways to improve and progress as an artist over the years. Not many can change genres like she did going from country music to pop and stay at that high level, but IMO she got even better and that’s all because of how much she wanted that to happen. She wanted to be more. She wanted to show the world what she was capable of. She wanted to expand and broaden her horizons. She wanted to try different things with her music. I’d tell her I just listen to this album here and am just amazed how she continues to get better and better. How much she’s grown over the years. How unique and creative she is lyrically. The different collaborations and sounds. How she so eloquently is able to set the mood of the song and really show the emotion of those specific lyrics. Just the right pace and tone to her songs. Everything flows and sounds just perfect.
She’s a perfectionist and that’s what you have to be to reach the level she has. There’s a process and technique to everything and making music is no different and she is just flawless in that aspect.
I’d close with this as much as I admire her as an artist I really admire her as a person even moreso. She always been a great human being at heart. Goes out of her way to help others especially fans. Makes sure they’re taken care of and know the impact made on her. No matter what people say about her she’s never changed the way she is with us. I just would say the world needs more kind hearted, selfless, caring, genuine, strong, courageous people like her.
