I wish Ross won the first season of 'Celebrity Big Brother' tonight. :/ But he deserved the 2nd place money he got and the favorite houseguest prize too!

I'm going to go on a long rant about this show because I hate the formula of it so much. I've been watching this show since it started when I was about 3 or 4 years old but this may be my last season of it because it sucks.
Every season there's always a big group that consists of the athletic bros and the women that they want to be in a showmance with. Each woman in that group will eventually want to be the last woman standing while the guys will remain loyal to each other to the end. And then there's the "outsiders" that don't realize that the big alliance even exists. The outsiders usually consists of 2 people of color, a nerdy woman, a nerdy guy, an old man, and a gay guy. Basically anyone that doesn't fit into the cool attractive alliance. They will usually lose every competition and get picked off until there's no more of them left. This makes things very boring as a viewer because it's predictable every week.
This all star season was a bit different with casting and that was mainly because Janelle had a target on her back from day one since her reputation of being a competition beast made everyone afraid of her. Even though this cast was different than usual it still ended up with a big alliance in the house that controlled the game and got all of the outsiders out in consecutive order. That's even worse this season since Derick helped Cody form that alliance before the game even started so really the outsiders never stood a chance this season.
Big Brother used to be about making big power moves. Now everybody is afraid to get "blood on their hands" because they know that big alliance will turn on them. The biggest move made this season is when David took the 10k instead of continuing to compete in the veto competition. There was no point in continuing when he knew he was going to end up out of the game anyway.
Enzo is always talking about making big moves when it's someone else's HOH but when he was in power all he did was go with the status quo. Christmas just got done crying about not being able to play in the Veto comp this whole time and when she finally plays it and wins she chooses not to do anything with it. I don't even know why she's on an all star season, but to be honest I don't know why most of these players were on this season. Memphis was weird with his vendetta to get David out since day one and used the excuse of him being a rookie for his reason. Cody sucks because of his cheating with Derick. Nicole is always whining about something and she's one of those types that want to be the last woman standing. There's a reason the BB fanbase calls her Snakole. She doesn't deserve to be the first 2 time winner. I wanted Dani to win because she was at least trying to bring some drama to the show plus I think she should've won on her original season with her dad. Now that Dani is out I guess all I have left is Tyler to root for. I don't even like him though because he was always so fake with Bay. Maybe I'll just stop watching now. Idk.
I think Big Brother is going to get cancelled in a few more seasons if it continues to be boring like this. I don't even know how they could fix the problem with the big groups. People naturally gravitate to people that are similar to them and they'll want to be in an alliance. Big Brother started off as a social experiment and it's sad what it's turned into but I know it's supposed to be a microcosm/ reflection of society.

I'd watch another season of Celebrity Big Brother though. That wasn't like regular Big Brother. I don't think it got renewed though.

The first Big Brother was in The Netherlands. It was pretty good and genuine. I watched quite a bit of it. But from the second season on, the show started sucking. People knew what they were getting in to and just wanted attention or manipulate everything to win. When social media came around the attention seeking made the show even worse. They don't even care about winning the game. They just want more followers now. The Netherlands version probably doesn't have cliques based on people's appearances though so that version is probably better in a way. The last time I’ve seen some snippets of it, I was confused whether I was watching Temptation Island or even the start of a porn movie. The house was filled with airheads and attentionseekers  |
