Hi Swifties. I have repeatedly discovered music I think is very good, which has never been played in Danish radio. I imagine that it may happen in most countries. Therefore, I start this thread where you can present some of the music that is hit in your own country. It may be music from your own country, but it may also be from other places. I am looking forward to listening to a little of each.

Well I live in the United States and I’d say our most popular genres are country, pop, and hip hop.
Most popular artists are Taylor of course, Maroon 5, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, Imagine Dragons, Sam Smith, Selena Gomez, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato.

The names you mention are all of them that are also popular in Denmark. There is clearly no big difference between the music taste in the two countries.

But in Denmark there are of course also Danish music, and music from our Nordic neighbors, Sweden and Norway.

They have also started playing this in Danish radio, so we can not only hear Havana, as we have heard a lot lately. And it's actually pretty good.

Here is also one that is big in Denmark. Zara Larsson generally sells well in Denmark. The same does David Guetta.

Here is a song with Danish Medina, which is a big hit in Denmark right now. If you translate the title, it will be.
(Love me)

In germany we have this for example:
- Sunrise Avenue (from finland) - Silbermond (from germany and in german language) - Rea Garvey / Reamonn (from ireland, but he lives in germany since the nineties) - Tim Bendzko (from germany and in german language) - Helene Fischer (german schlager which I don't like, but maybe some others here) - Ed Sheeran (everybody on the new TC knows him) - Carly Rae Jepsen (from canada) - Katy Perry - Birdy (beautiful music from england, often with piano) - Shawn Mendes (he comes from canada I think, but everybody knows him anyway) - Avicii (from sweden) - Pink (do I have to say something about her?) - Mark Forster (from germany, makes really good songs in german language) - Rag'n'Bone Man (from UK) - Justin Timberlake - Max Giesinger (from germany, sings in german language and was in the final of the first season of The Voice of Germany) - Ellie Goulding - Adel Tawil / Ich & Ich (from germany, in german language, great lyrics) - The Common Linnets (from the netherlands, it's actually a country band who finished second in the Eurovision Song Contest a few years ago)

The biggest thing that isn't on the worldwide charts is probably grime. We bloody love grime over here
This one is super old but it's one of my fave grime tracks
One of the biggest grime tracks that's been on the charts, brought to us by national treasure Stormzy
