On my first time listening to This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things, my jaw dropped during the second verse and I was sitting there wondering if Taylor really sang T H A T. Ah, savage Taylor is glorious.

I absolutely love “Call It What You Want” because listening to that song it was pretty clear to me Taylor is at a good place in her life and is very content.
I think the title of the song really says it all for me telling people and particularly her haters and critics that they could call her relationship whatever they want because she’s happy in it and is enjoying and living her life and not gonna let any negativity bring her down.

Can someone explain to me what the line "My baby's fly like a jet stream" means? I'm so confused by it. Is he transparent? Does he fart a lot? I don't get it.

I think you cannot take it out of context with the other lyric "My baby's fly like a jet stream, high above the whole scene" suggesting like a plane he's flying above things and also jet streams tend to look like clouds in the sky or even be used to write things in the sky for someone. Take what you want. Now the "fly" part is totally her using cool lingo.  |

That lyric really messes me up, ya know. Most people say you know, "I forgive, but I never forget." But Taylor says stuff like that, and it shows me how much of a writer she really is.

I don't know what it is about this song, but the way that she cares so deeply about HIS feelings more than her own really messes me up too. The way she cares so much how he is gonna react when she says things, just because she likes him that much, she acts as though she doesn't really care if she gets her heart hurt because she likes him THAT much.

I still would like to erase the "ratatatatataaa". But I like the lyrics very much. And obviously the burning witches part is great. Burning witches is my thing! This song will be great at the Tour. |
