I think I'll never get the The Lakes vinyl Neither will I! I don't see having $200 to spend on a vinyl anytime soon.

Okay, sound off, what country presses the nicest Taylor albums. My vote's for France! The folklore records were just top notch! What do your guys think?

A fun fact is that I've never really actually opened any vinyl records that I've purchased...But I try to get a second copy at least of a release, so I have one I can keep sealed. But my OCD still prevents me from opening the second or third or whatever copy. I do not have a vinyl record player, so I've never played a vinyl record before.

I think Canadian pressings are my favorite for sound quality (aside from the rep pic disc but that has less to do with the pressing and more to do with the fact that it’s a picture disc and they’re not really made to be played most of the time).

I have to have 2 copies of every CD that I own. One to keep mint! One I will allow myself to use. I also have to have the international versions too. But I never open those unless I managed to buy 2. I'm nuts!

Does anyone else find that Taylor's newer records are pressed kind of weird? Last night I put on my "The Lakes" vinyl. Since it's a 45" I figured it would be played at the 45" speed. However I turned up the speed and the song was playing too fast so I put it back to 33 1/2 and it played perfectly fine. This is strange.
Currently I'm listening to Red TV and given that it is the standard 33 1/2" size I played it at that speed and low and behold, I drop the needle and (to quote Taylor in the song I was listening to) it was like sloooooooow motioooooon. So I put it on the 45 speed and it played perfectly fine (like condition wise, not the song mr.perfectly fine, that would make my record worth a lot more money though).
Is anyone else confused by this? Cause I sure as heck am. Why would they press them like that?

My guess is that Red TV was pressed at 45rpm and that certain way for audio quality. Not knocking Fearless TV, but I wonder if Taylor found that 45 rpm would be the way to go in the future.

I figured for Red TV that it also might of been because it was such a long album maybe they were able to fit more songs on it at the 45 rpm speed but idk if that makes any sense. I guess we’ll have to wait till she drops another album to find out. I’m more perplexed by the lakes vinyl.
