I am excited as I wonder if there will be any updates to lyrics. This now truly feels like it will be a different and imo definitive version. I kind of hope she doesn't change any lyrics. I love that as written...plus she owns the copyright to the lyrics so she doesn't have to change that.

So real talk... This year marks 13 since my dad passed away. I've often credited paramore to my love of music, but I also need to credit Taylor too. If it wasn't for Fearless and Riot my senior year of high school would have been more hellish than it already was. I put very few artists on "god tier" when it comes to what their music means to me and Fearless I have skipped on for a few years and I am revisiting it with new ears up until the new releases come out.

Yeah I am just trying to think back if there are any problematic in today's mindset lyrics that may need to be tweaked. that is all i was getting at.

This isn’t fearless but imagine her ending Mary’s Song with “you’ll be 87, I’ll be 89, I’ll still look at you like the stars that shine” brb crying.

I wonder if she got Colbie Callait to do background vocals on Breathe again She will, her name is included in the "Breathe" track name on the pages for the album vinyl record, CD, cassette, etc.

The biggest question here is when Spotify and other companies who have contracts with Big Machine can finally play this and Taylor's other re-recordings. We have no idea whether or not there are clauses in their contracts with Big Machine which would preclude them from playing Taylor's re-recordings prior to the contracts' expiration, or if there are loopholes which would effectively enable them to play Taylor's versions alongside Big Machine's. In any case, once those contracts expire, they will have no problems entering into a contract with Taylor herself to have her re-recordings played or streamed (unless for some reason, Big Machine inserted a clause preventing them to do so even after such contract expiration, which, depending on how they are worded, may or may not stand in court).

It’s actually quite nice to revisit the old days. Last time I was really happy listening to “new” Taylor music, was during the 1989 days.

I am extremely satisfied with the new Love Story. I am glad she chose not to change the song much. I hope this is the path that continues.

The only thing I don't like is the staccato 'Romeo' in the second pre-chorus, I find it really grating for some reason. The rest is better though in my opinion, the production is a lot more nuanced and rich in my opinion.

If the moronic woke culture transfers to her “old” music and lyrics, I’m done.

I know how you feel about the Miss Americana documentary but it would be hypocritical of her to keep the original lyrics after what she said in the documentary. Plus, I believe a few years after Speak Now came out, she said in an interview that she regrets that one line. I’m not 100% sure on that, though. I vaguely remember someone talking about it. It’s sad because no matter what she does with that song, people are going to be upset. If she keeps it the same, people are going to attack her. If she changes just that one line, people are going to attack her. If she leaves it off the re-recorded version of Speak Now, people are going to attack her.

Like you said: you never can please everyone. And there are always people needing a hobby and creating drama. I hope she sticks with all the originals. Because, where do you draw the line? Is she going to leave out Bad Blood? Or is she even going to put a hold on taking a shot at her exes. That would render half her music library useless, including the new albums.

There's a difference from changing a line that slutshames to changing an entire song because it talks about a feud. It is ok to learn from the past and change and grow as you learn.
