The lyric video for The Best Day got me. Whew. Like just seeing the new pictures and knowing, kind of, what was going on in Taylor's life and how her mom was doing at the time. I'm so happy for her that she has such a close family. Fifteen was also amazing because of the new pictures. Their friendship is the cutest. I almost screamed during Hey Stephen because 1. the re-recorded version is wonderful and 2. THE NEW GIGGLE IS ADORABLE. Untouchable, Forever & Always (piano version), Superstar, and Today Was A Fairytale are the other songs that sound so good in the re-recorded versions. AND THE VAULT TRACKS. The album is out and I still haven't completely processed that she went through her unreleased songs and added 6 of them to this album. It's a little funny that I said I hope all of the vault songs aren't collaborations because I really enjoyed That's When. It was the weirdest feeling listening to a new-ish album and knowing the lyrics! Right now, I'm sleepy, but it's been a wonderful night. It was nice to relive this album. Welcome home, Fearless. My physical CD from Target should arrive on the 13th (how perfect) and I can't wait to flip through the album booklet and see if the secret messages really are back!!

I absolutely adore Mr. Perfectly Fine and Don't You. I noticed a lot of differences in That's When, a few lyric changes, but it was never officially published, so I'm sure she just changed a few things. All of the main album songs though made me ball like a baby. Especially Fifteen and The Best Day.

I suddenly realized upon listening to the snippets I wasn't emotionally prepared to hear 30something Taylor singing fifteen again dang.

As a critical swiftie of past days I can say I'm very satisfied with the re-recorded Fearless.
I had this conversation with Reagan, in the fact that although through lyricism and content I consider Speak Now her best, Fearless harbors a majority of the songs that have defined so many emotional memories for me. I was worried her singing these songs now would sound a bit flat, like the emotion is drawn out of them. Because she isn't in that time and place anymore.
You're Not Sorry, one of my favorite Taylor songs ever, actually sounds more raw on this cut. Because she cut back some of the excess production so you can hear the inflections more.
I can understand her clearer on this album compared to the production of fearless where sometimes the words get lost in the music.
I think Forever & Always rerecorded was not as good. Mainly because it seems the chorus notes are a little off compared to the original. Can't decide if she is singing it properly technically now or she is struggling to hit that note now.
I am glad the Best Day got rid of some of the old production because it sounds clearer now. One of the reasons it wasn't my favorite on Fearless was the previous production.
Interesting enough - the Piano version of Forever and Always gave me goosebumps. Like the original. I always preferred this version to the album version. I think she added a bit more vocal personality.
I always loved Come In With the Rain and the rerecording sounds even better with the more mature vocals.
Some of these Fearless tracks fit better now with mature Taylor. I love that aspect. I love she rerecorded Today Was a Fairytale and tacked it on as well! I wonder if she'll do that with Sweeter than Fiction for 1989.
I had a wishlist of tracks and We Were Happy was one of them. I am so happy to hear a real version of it. Like borderline tears happy. XD It was so cool to hear That's When actually recorded, it was always an unreleased I liked as well. Keith Urban didn't ruin it. XD
All the unreleased and now released are beautiful and it will...definitely encourage me to listen to this edition.
I really hope she does vault songs for all of them. This is just, stellar additions. I;d love to see the outtakes for Speak Now. I figure Dark Blue would be on debut rerelease. Curious to see what songs 1989 would have, as I loved the deluxe tracks more than some of the album chosen takes so I wonder what else is in the vault for that one. And CAN YOU IMAGINE REPUTATION NEW TAKES WHEN SHE CAN RERECORD THAT ONE?
I think with this I may be a little open to some change on Speak Now, if it still fits the character of the song. I don't want her to entirely omit anything though.

I haven’t listened to all of it yet. But I do understand why the vault songs didn’t make the album. I’m glad Taylor maintained the quality of the original. I’m just a bit disappointed with Fearless. The guitar at the beginning is off and the singing isn’t energetic enough. That’s too bad because the energy of the original makes it one of her best songs ever.

Yeah Fearless is one of my favorite songs and the original is much more powerful than the re-recorded imo

Anyone else wearing old Fearless merch today? Really didn’t think my tour shirt would fit but it does 😂 I think I got rid of my shirt from the fearless tour because it was starting to fade really bad and it was a horrible decision really. My work uniform shirt is yellow, a really horrible dingy yellow but yellow. I guess it kind of counts.
