I was just watching Taylor's long interview with an interviewer from 'Apple Music' that premiered live and they talked about all of the songs, including 'Marjorie'. I think I sort of got the chills because they were talking about the song and the ideas behind it and she said her grandma died when she was 13. I thought I was 14 when my grandma died as she died in January 2012 and I would have turned 14 that year, but January comes before March (my birthday month), so I guess I was actually 13 too?? I related to everything she said about it. She said the song was about her being young when she lost her grandma and being too young to know better to ask more questions and get to know more about her while she was still here. I have felt the same way lately over the past few years and feeling bad about not spending more time with my grandma. I can't listen to this song without crying now.

What I find interesting is that the songs I'm gravitating to on this record are the ones that people aren't thrilled about. Ivy, Cowboy Like Me, Coney Island and Evermore are among my current favourites.

Coney Island won me immediately because "did I paint your bluest skies the darkest of greys?" that Cold as You and Dear John throwback moment EXCUSE ME.

The metaphors perfectly invoke the nostalgia you're supposed to feel. Like that mall before the internet line? It's perfect! Reminds you of the music video for complicated (by Avril Lavigne). I could gush about Coney Island forever!

’Right Where You Left Me’ mentions the age 23! Doesn’t mean I want to turn 23 next year though.

There is definitely nothing Here that you guys would be interested in.... I just listened to them on ’YouTube’, some fans uploaded them but they’ll probably be taken down at some point. I’m so annoyed my STUPID province is locked down so you can’t even buy a simple CD in a store when ’Evermore’ is released today.

so last night I was on spotify on my computer and I clicked this button that reverses the tracklist, making the last song first and first song last, and wow. willow was kind of strange being the last song but starting with evermore and going from there... totally different vibe from the album and I loved it. Songs I didn't really love really grew on me. I think my mind kind of starts drifting halfway through the album so this was a nice way to play them.

Taylor released The Lakes pretty quickly after the CDs became available. I wonder how much longer it will take for her to officially release "time to go" and "right where you left me"

Taylor released The Lakes pretty quickly after the CDs became available. I wonder how much longer it will take for her to officially release "time to go" and "right where you left me" I reckon after this tracking week ends. If she waits for this week, she might still get people ordering/going into store to buy the deluxe album which helps her chart and they probably want to try for another week at number 1. Releasing them this weekend too would allow them to be like 'A Christmas present for you all!' or something. Idk about you guys who order from other stores, but the UK store has been shipping orders since yesterday and if it's the same in the US it means her numbers will see a huge boost this week.
