Okay I know we say this every era but there is not a single skip on this album. For me, on RED, 'Stay Stay Stay' is the skip, and on Lover, it's 'ME!' But Folklore has me agape. This album is just. so. good. You skip Stay Stay Stay That’s such a fun song. I would think throwing phones at dudes would be your thing The songs you would skip are some of my favourite Taylor songs overall

Sorry, I will make one post in this thread for now. I know this would fit in the 'Zodiac & Astrology' thread but this thread is about 'Folklore' and I find this post interesting for what the original poster thinks each song is like which zodiac sign(s). The Signs As Songs From Folklore:Aries: Reckless, adventurous, and passionate - BettyTaurus: Domestic, practical, and ambitious - ExileGemini: Outgoing, adaptable, and dependable - Invisible StringCancer: Emotional, sympathetic, and tenacious - The 1, EpiphanyLeo: Attention seeking, generous, and charming - MirrorballVirgo: Meticulous, nurturing, and loyal - Peace Libra: Idealistic, romantic, and diplomatic - August, Illicit AffairsScorpio: Passionate, honest, and obsessive - Mad Woman, My Tears RicochetSagittarius: Fun-loving, intelligent, and optimistic - The Last Great American DynastyCapricorn: Persistent, sensitive, and traditional - This Is Me Trying, HoaxAquarius: Whimsical, eccentric, and unpredictable - SevenPisces: Creative, impressionable, and imaginative - Cardigan( Source) Libra definitely makes sense. We're an overly romantic bunch.

Trying to dodge the lakes spoilers like I can't find anything about it the person who gets their CD or whatever first is gonna be interesting. Every so often, I'll see a lyric from it. I don't know how people are getting the lyrics. That's one thing I really like is that folklore was kept such a tight secret that there were no spoilers! It was a peaceful album release (well, besides everyone's shock and excitement!) and that was fitting for this album.

Possible unpopular opinion alert but the capital W in "West" in the lyric video for peace is kind of...crappy. I think it should have been changed when Kanye had that outburst...

Does anyone want to rate the songs out of 10 like (I think) people did for 'Lover' after it was released?

This is how I think I would personally rate the songs from 'Folklore' as of now:
'The One' - 8.5/10 'Cardigan' - 9/10 'The Last Great American Dynasty' - 8/10 'Exile' - 7/10 'My Tears Ricochet' - 8.5/10 'Mirrorball' - 6/10 'Seven' - 5/10 'August' - 7.5/10 'This Is Me Trying' - 7/10 'Illicit Affairs' - 8/10 'Invisible String' - 7/10 'Mad Woman' - 5.5/10 'Epiphany' - 5/10 'Betty' - 7/10 'Peace' - 6/10 'Hoax' - 6.5/10
I personally like the 'Lover' album more still I think so I rated these songs above in relation to the 'Folklore' album and compared to each other, not really in comparison to other 'Lover' songs. I did this because most of the songs on 'Folklore' would probably be rated fairly low if I did this in comparison to other Taylor songs from other albums.

When I listen to Folklore (or Lover or reputation) on their own it’s fine. But when I listen to songs from earlier albums in between, I’m like: damn, Taylor’s songs used to be so much better.

A lot of reviewers seem to have been sent the full version of the album so that's how things are getting out! There's not been too much though, just a few lyrics (probably equivalent to half a verse or so, so really not much) and a confirmation of which 'lakes' she's talking about.

I guess I’m the only one who is going to rate the songs.

I guess I’m the only one who is going to rate the songs. It's too early for me. My favourite changes every time I listen to the album pretty much.
