I don't know if other people collect or own a few ornaments to put on a Christmas tree, but I was REALLY wanting an ornament I saw on 'Walmart Canada's website. Only was I later to find that it wasn't in my local store at all. When the Christmas stuff was relatively new and was displayed in November I had looked at a lot of the ornaments they had, and I mean lots of them. They came in small red boxes but have plastic at the front so you can see what it looks like, and they were all put in fairly large size cardboard holders. I thought I had sort of looked through almost all of them, and I was disappointed to later see that they had a 'Jurassic Park' t-rex ornament from 'Hallmark' and was basically the same exact brand and format of ornament as the other ones being sold in stores. It was available online on the website but I recently checked and it says it's not available.  I don't know if it'd come back or not. I searched online and saw they sell the same one at American stores like at 'Target' but it comes just by itself and not in a nice box thing. I'd be nice to have one that comes in a box so I could put it back in the box to store it when it's not being used on a Christmas tree. |

There is also this cool 'Hallmark' ornament I saw in my local store that plays the theme music for 'Jurassic Park', but they're about $30...I'd love one though.  |

8 days until Christmas and we don't have a tree up, one present wrapped, or lights up on the fence which we actually haven't done the past few years. This is either going to be a messy or lame Christmas.

My wacky aunt (I have a lot of wacky aunts now that I think of it XD) who works at a school had some Christmas sweater with a strung out Rudolph and a drug Christmas tree or something, and she had no clue, my cousin was like what are you wearinggg XD she would’ve gotten fired. I didn’t see it but it’s probably kinda the same line or whatever XD |

Spoke too soon about no tree yet! Finished decorating it an hour or so ago. Now to keep shooing my sister's cat away from it.  |

I can’t believe I almost forgot to put the ornament my oldest sister had made for my other sister on the tree last night! It has a little painting of our sweet Lucky on it.  I hope we can find a good picture of his sister, Anne, one day and get one made for her. Those two were the sweetest doggies ever. Boo was also really sweet. He has an ornament, too. It’s a boxer, because he was a boxer mix, with wings and a little ribbon that has paw prints on it. They’re all close to the top, along with this gold metal ornament of a train that has my Pop’s name engraved into it, because angels go on top of the tree. I wish we had one for my Grandma. I guess, technically, the one for my Pop could be hers, too, because she put it on her tree every year. |

The tree almost came crashing down earlier! My sister's cat may be blind but she has no problems figuring out how to get into things. She knew she could jump over one present to get under the tree or push another out of the way. Well, we didn't want her to get under there and chew on the branches or figure out how to climb the tree...but my sister was going to get her out and someone must have knocked into the tree because it started to tip over. We eventually fixed it but that would have been something if it had fallen over!

I can't believe it's already here. I guess I really am an emotional or a nostalgic person, because I just can't believe how fast time goes by and you look forward to things like Christmas and it's like there's not enough time to enjoy it and look forward to it before it's already over. I'm always sad when Christmas is over. It just sucks.
But anyways,

It’s hard to believe it’s already over in the blink of an eye. I’m making the most of it. I just ate a family portion of cake and pie. Tonight I’ll have a delicious dinner. And who knows what tonight will bring. Maybe a beer or some wine. And I’ll probably start watching season 7 of Homeland. On a more healthy note: I ran 4 miles. Good times! |

I think this is why Christmas doesn't feel the same and it just doesn't feel like Christmas. I can't believe it's all over now too.   |
