I saw this theory on tiktok, and I believe it.
The "my, my, my, my" in the beginning of Death By a Thousand Cuts is because she can't finish the rest of it from Lover when she says "You're my, my, my, my lover..." and it's too traumatic because of the break up, because she can't face the fact that she's lost her lover.
I don't just a very intriguing thought to me and wanted to share!

I know a lot of people dunk on "It's Nice To Have Friend" but I love that song so much if just for the fact that she sampled a choir from the "Regent Park School Of Music" in Toronto. For those of you who don't know, Regent Park is a a low income area in Toronto and this school from which she sampled the choir is trying to make it so that children can get music education, lowering the price of music lessons from your typical $80/hr to $1 or $2/hr. The residuals the school makes that off that song all go towards music education and I just think that's neat! If you want to read more about it I'll link an article here
