If I were to get my own car someday I think I'd like the below license plate.

I think the way European license plates look are cool and sophisticated with how they're long and rectangular but they're plain as they only have letters and numbers on them. Some states in the United States have cool license plates.

I think I've almost seen every Canadian license plate with my own eyes where I live in Canada (other people travelling across the country). I just haven't seen any of the license plates from the three territories in Canada. In the past few years for some reason I've seen more east coast license plates - New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland & Labrador.
Where I live I've also seen some interesting United States license plates here. From what I can remember I've seen lots of North Dakota, some Minnesota, California a few times, Nevada at least once, Virginia, etc..
And I got very excited when I saw an England license plate on a European looking van at a gas station near the U.S. border a year or so ago in the summer time when my parents and I were going to the border I think to pick up parcels. They must've took a boat across the ocean with their van to travel around North America.
I've also seen weird looking cars/vehicles that are obviously European. I think once there was a big military looking truck that someone was camping in in a 'Walmart' parking lot where I live that was from Denmark or something. I've seen a few other European license plates too but I can't remember what ones.

That's a boring German license plate: The upper symbol after the first letters is showing when the car have to go to the next official inspection and the lower one shows the state and province it is registered. The first letters (before the two symbols) stay for the city the car is registered. I really like the american plates more, they are just looking better with the different designs and the other dimensions.

It is fun trying to guess where they’re from by the two letters underneath the EU flag though, or in UK ones trying to find the date they’re from (especially when the new plates come out each year)

In The Netherlands it's totally random.

In Denmark we have several different license plates, depending on what kind of vehicle they are. They can be obtained with or without the EU logo Here is my son's license plate on his motorcycle, which is without the EU logo. www.nrpl.dk/sys-1966.phpAttachments:
