It's nice that they extended the sales. I wonder if they would have anything new during her birthday week. Maybe not since this was a big week.

See this!! Is what I hate!! The anxiety of trying to make decisions in a short period of time. I caved and bought the Fearless and Debut (I already have a signed 1989 vinyl, it's just not the pink one). To top things off, they don't ship the vinyls internationally so I had to borrow a friend's US address but I'm half expecting to get an email and refund tomorrow about it being oversold. It was a really hard decision to make on the spot because I do not have the amount of money that store expects fans to have. I had not bought anything from the site in many months because I was waiting for this day and that's the only way I justified it. My friend said she would take the debut off my hands if I have second thoughts and I can sell them if I ever need to. But it's really too early in the game to even know if I'll have them (I had them sitting in my cart like half an hour after they all sold out so I'm not holding my breath but for some reason I was able to process it). They didn't even release anything reputation signed so wtf!!! Please keep in mind that just because I took this risk does not in any way make me think those prices are okay. Especially when most currencies can't compete with the USD. I just don't get to buy stuff like that for myself very often. I hope I don't regret my decision lmaoooo Will find out soon enough if it was a real sale or not! If something reputation signed shows up soon I will scream. How can they justify only having 250 of those vinyls each when they know they are going to be sold out immediately! I would probably be interested in buying one when I have more money (like when I have a full time job this summer). Hey I'm too Guess we have to fight it out

Anyone have a hello again code they don't want? Can you dm me please if you do have one! If you have another random email you have you can sign up for the newsletter and as long as you have a U.S. zip code (which is pathetic as it excludes international fans once again) it sends you an email to confirm it then they send you the code in a "Oh hey, here's that code you wanted" email or something. And it works if you unsubscribe. I've subscribed and unsubscribed at least two times on like three of my random emails.

Pretty sure they only sold the pathetically overpriced autographed vinyls records because they lost so much money with all of the sales for a week. ( $250 x 250) + ( $250 x 250) + ( $250 x 250) = $187,500Wow, what a way to balance your bottom line within 20 minutes.

I just noticed that hats are "3 for $30". I wish I could buy the three 'Reputation' ones I need right now.

In all seriousness, like I've posted before, does anyone know why signed simple vinyl records are sold for so much? Even when the '1989' vinyl was signed and sold during '13 Days of Taylor' a few years ago it wasn't worth the $100+. Now looking back at that price, it'd sure have been a hell of a lot nicer if these latest signed vinyl records were sold for $100+...

I discussed it earlier with Daniel. When international fans like ourselves have to take into account the obscene exchange rate, it's almost an unjustifiable amount of money. But $250 alone, in my opinion, is an understandable price tag.
Taking into perspective this:
- Taylor is probably the most famous/successful female musician alive
- She doesn't autograph a lot these days
- Each autographed vinyl was limited to 250 copies
- The vinyls themselves are special editions
This actually caused a lot of debate on Tumblr, and the anger was shared by a lot who recognised that they are expensive. But the thing is, nobody has to buy them. The reason they were that price is because they have value. At the end of the day, the store is a business, and clearly there are enough customers to buy expensive merch or otherwise they wouldn't have sold out as quickly as they did. They are a collector's item, clearly from the amount of upset, everyone wanted one. It wouldn't make sense for the store to reduce the price just because every single fan wanted one. It's much the same with concert tickets. Higher the demand = higher the price. One Tumblr user also pointed out that it makes more (business) sense for the store to sell full price limited items and have them sell out, rather than produce too many and have to reduce the price later on.
I've also seen some people try to tag Taylor and discuss this but she really hasn't got a lot to do with ticket or merch prices. All that is part of her business which is managed by people in that specialty (I also think it's kind of entitled to demand Taylor take action on anything fans don't agree with).
I understand 100% completely and fully a lot of fans not being able to afford this stuff. I am kind of regretting even purchasing them (my order is still on freaking 'pending'), but, with all of the above considered, I don't think it was an outrageous price. As I also mentioned before, the Peter Max signed/framed posters were, in my opinion, an outrageous price.
