Union Bound This is an excellent film that is set in the American Civil War. Some Northern soldiers are captured and taken to a POW camp in the south. The film highlights their attempt to escape and make it back to Union lines.

Just got this movie yesterday... it's based on the book series by James Patterson... I love the series... and i'd heard the movie was being made, but never saw it come to any theater near me, that i know of... so i figured they'd just given up on it and scratched the project, but due to a mislabeling at a website i visit, i found it came out on DVD two years ago so i ordered it... Maximum Ride is the name...
oh, and oddly enough, i found the actress who plays max ... is a Taylor fan, apparently, and has a picture of the two of them on her twitter page

The Shootist This is my favorite movie and I watch it on dvd about once a year. It stars John Wayne and this was the last film that he made. Also featured in this film were Lauren Bacall, James Stewart, Ron Howard, and Scatman Crothers.

what did you think of it? It was good! Nothing spectacular, though. I never got use to the guy who plays Han but I still liked him. But probably excited me as much as any Star Wars movie (the whole entire world of Star Wars is my daydream- going planet to planet, meeting all those different races, learning all those different languages...). However if I'm being honest with you, I really enjoy watching Star Wars but it isn't my favorite, and if my friend hadn't asked me to go I probably would have waited till it came out on DVD to see it. What did you think of it?

What did you think of it? It had some nice references to the old novels and movies, but like you, i found it hard to see the guy they chose to play Han as Han Solo. I am far far more partial to Harrison Ford... and although he was good in the part, I also couldn't see Woody Harrelson as anyone other than the character he used to play on the Cheers tv show, so those were two very big distractions, unfortunately. I liked Roger Glover as Lando... and Chewbacca was great, even if it was a new guy in the suit. I do feel though that Rogue One was a much stronger movie... I'm interested in hearing what you think of that one when you finally watch it.
