I just finished watching Judy and what a film it was! Renee Zellweger absolutely deserved that Oscar, she had Judy down to a T. What a terribly sad life Judy Garland lived though. Forced into show business at 2 years old. Forced to work 18 hour days at MGM, given amphetamines for energy and barbiturates to sleep. Struggling with addiction and abuse her entire life. The things we forced young girls to go through, the things we're still forcing them to go through, just for some entertainment.....it's heartbreaking. Judy spent her whole life singing "someday I'll wish upon a star and wake up where the clouds are far behind me" but never got that for herself....Sorry this is sort of a depressing tangent but movies like that just make me think. Oh my gosh oh my gosh, I've been wanting to watch that; been so fascinated by Judy Garland lately!

I stayed up to three in the morning watching Beautiful Boy, and it was amazing and so important. I wanted to watch it for Timothée Chalamet hehe, but it ended up being such a riveting, moving, passionate story that I don't think I've cried that much watching a movie before. XD I think the movie does a brilliant portrayal of the tragedy that is losing a loved one to a drug addiction. While I thankfully can't personally relate to that, I could relate to the family and self conflicts explored. The movie felt so raw and real, and it was just so emotive and fluid and powerful in conveying the perspectives of each character.

Got bored these past couple of nights and found 2 Netflix movies to watch. The first night, I watched All the Bright Places and it ripped my heart out and stomped on it. It was a good movie but I sort of felt like the beginning and middle were too long so they had all these loose ends to tie up at the end. Last night, I watched Secret Obsession. It was pretty good, too. Although I was hoping for a happier ending...I mean, it was still happy but not what I thought it was going to be. (oops that's vague but trying not to spoil anything in case anyone wants to watch these! Spoilers suck.)

Scoob! and it was adorable! I feel like I can't watch that movie because Matthew Lillard isn't Shaggy and it makes me mad.

Two days ago I watched the movie 'Lincoln' starring Daniel Day-Lewis and Sally Field. This film was primarily about President Lincoln's administration trying to persuade the House of Representatives to pass the 13th amendment to the United States Constitution which would ban slavery.

I am presently watching a movie titled 'Will to Kill'. This is one of the movies in the 'Hailey Dean' series starring Kelly Martin. It is on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Network.

Last night, I watched The Photographer of Mauthausen. Bad movie to watch right before bed, btw. It wasn't scary. Some scenes are just shocking and you really try to imagine the torture all of the victims of the Holocaust went through. It's terrifying that society is capable of these things.
