I thought I'd share some interesting facts about the sales of Taylor's latest album Reputation
Over 400,000 copies were per-ordered, this more then double of the amount of per-ordered albums for 1989.
700,000 copies were sold on the first day
It is Taylor's fifth album to debut at #1 at the billboard's (Every album expect her debut album has been at number 1)
It is Taylor's fourth album to sell over a million copies in a week, she is also the only person to have 4 albums sell over a million a week
During it's opening week it sold more the other 199 albums on the Billboard 200 combined.
With over two million copies sold in it's first week, it has the 8th largest week of sales in the United States.
It is Taylor's 3rd album to reach number 1 in the UK and 4th album to reach number 1 in Australia

It always takes a while for them to crunch numbers and report the final numbers for first week sales. Some sources reported Reputation just edged out 1989, others reported the sales were a bit less. It doesn’t matter too much, Taylor sold a lot of albums again. The album even went to number 1 in The Netherlands. It’s her second album to do so.
