I prefer a doctor with a bit more experience (older person). They can often judge the situation better.

My family is great at destroying every positive feelings I have.
Today I was talking enthusiastically about the great F1 season opening race yesterday and how appealing the thought of Alonso winning his third world championship in 2025 or 2026 (then with the new engines), 19 or 20 years after his last championship, is. My grandpa just said, I don't think about 2026, who knows what will be then, maybe they don't race anymore. My mother then added "They probably won't race anymore, because the politics will prohibit it for enviromental protection." I say that because of that, the new engines come in 2026 with much less emmissions. She says that they would still be too loud. I say that they are already much more silent then they were 20 years ago and then they would've to prohibit many things that are loud, like concerts, airplanes... . She says that her washing machine isn't that loud... Then I say, that they tell me all the time that I shouldn't always tink negative, but when I'm thinking positive, then they are thinking negative. My mother just says, that she doesn't think negative, it would be okay if they prohibit F1 races. (She knows exactly that F1 is one of very few things that still make me some fun). When I say that it is negative because many people in the world would lose something that makes them fun and many people in the world would lose their jobs, she says that it's not negative for her... Really? That egoistical?
By the way, I hate it when I talk about something and maybe explain something to them and they clearly don't try to understand or to listen and just say that I'm too intelligent for them and stop listening. I'm not intelligent, instead I'm often feeling dumb and stupid, there are just very few things I know a bit more of (like motorsports and the technical things there or strategy stuff), but when I tell them they come with a IQ test a doctor made with me when I was a kid (it waas part of the diagnosys of my dyscalculia), which was at 118 with maths dragging it down massively. But that was way back, I'm not that intelligent today.

I sometimes wish I didn't have feelings so I can't trauma dump without realizing...

I'm impatient very often, I hate it, but it's not the worst. I guess many people are impatient at least some times.

I'm probably annoying everyone here, sorry for that.
But can someone please tell me what I'm doing or thinking wrong?
If I tell you exactly this: "The Sims will finally get a bit of competition". Would anyone of you answer with something like: "Yes sure that is really big competition".?
Because that' exactly what my grandpa said to me (he knows about games and plays games himself, also he knows The Sims). I answered him with "what? I didn't told you anything about it." He then started to say something really confusing about the old Sims and the new Sims and the new Sims and the old Sims and I don't know. I then told him that I don't understand anything, because it's just confusing me. My mom then said that I have told him that the Sims will get competition, so his reaction with "sure that's really big competition is something everyone would say and makes complete sense. Then I said, that he can't know if it is really big competition without knowing anything about it, she said, that I said to him that there will be competition, so that's something about it. And then again I said that with just that you can't know if it is really big competition. Then she and also my grandfather said that they don't know what my problem is and they don't understand me (in a very harsh tone), so I stopped talking, because otherwise it would've again resultet in a big fight. Am I really thinking that wrong? Or am I really so stupid that I don't get it? What am I doing wrong all the time? Because something like that happens very often.
Earlier this morning I told my mother about it and tried to talk about The Sims with her and what you could do and that it got to easy to make your Sims happy rich people. She played every Sims part from The Sims 1 to The Sims 4, but no matter what I said, she answered every single time with a annoyed sounding "I don't know".
Somehow I constantly feel like I'm standing alone in a crowded room and we're not speaking.

Which is a bummer because as a sims fan myself I'm very interested in it's future competitors. Out of curiosity, are you talking about Paralives or another competitor to the sims? I think another one was announced recently but most of the info I'm seeing online is more about the sims growing together.

That's what I also always think, they're just not listening, because it's just me and I don't talk talk stuff they think is important (okay Sims isn't important, but I tried to make conversation, which is important if no one talks anything that really is important). In the morning when I said it to my mom, she instantly blocked with a "I don't care". Yeah, I know that you don't care, but I tried to start a friendly conversation. Or my grandpa said something like that he can't speak right now, because his voice is gone (he also has a cold), but then he instantly starts to talk with my mother for several minutes (and his voice sounded mostly normal). Okay, never heard of Paralives What's that? I meant Life By You from Paradox Interactive and the new developers from ex Sims boss Rod Humble. I posted something about it in the The Sims 4 thread with a short video snippet.

I posted something about it in the The Sims 4 thread with a short video snippet. Never heard of Life By You, I’ll have to look into it! I think even though there have been a lot of simulation games in the past none have even remotely come close to the sims and now that there are people who are making that type of simulation game, a lot of people might jump ship. Especially seeing that a lot of things in the sims are non-functional (have you had a wedding in the game lately cause yikes). EA has kind of taken a lot of soul out of the game and refusing to use their resources to fix things that have been a problem for awhile. Hopefully having some competition will force them to actually listen to their consumers and fix things in the game.

Hopefully having some competition will force them to actually listen to their consumers and fix things in the game. Life By You was just announced three days ago, so no wonder you never heard of it, at march, 20th there will be more news about it. I didn't played the Sims for a few years, then I bought the high-school expansion, played it a few days, then it got boring again. EA, like you said, has somehow buried the soul of the sims and made it just boring. I don't know but, it also is to easy to make every sim happy and rich. I have the feeling that it all started with Sims 3 to go down, and I don't know exactly, but I have something on my mind that Rod Humble was the head of the Sims through the Sims 2 era, and Sims 2 was great, so I have hope that Life By You will be something good. And hey, Paradox also showed EA how you make a great SimCity when they released Cities Skylines.
