We have a lot of art galleries and museums here. My favorite museum is either the museum of dentistry or National Cryptologic Museum. We also have NASA here so they have a rocket garden and it's cool to see all of their old stuff. There's a bunch of old tunnels and abandoned asylums that people I knew in high school used to sneak into because they thought they were haunted. Totally didn't read the first page of this thread and thought we were supposed to list interesting places about where we are from  . I'v never heard of Publix before so I don't think we have that. |

For where I live in Canada:
For grocery stores, there is 'Sobeys', 'Safeway', and 'Co-op', etc..
For stores in general (that I like), there is a mall here with stores in it like 'Ardene', 'Maurice's', 'Bootlegger', 'Shoe Warehouse', 'Bath & Body Works', 'Hallmark', and 'Bentley', etc.. For other standalone stores (that I like), there is 'Winners', 'Michaels', 'Walmart', 'Best Buy', 'Giant Tiger', 'Shoppers Drug Mart', 'Staples', etc..
For restaurants, there is 'McDonald's', 'Burger King', 'Wendy's', 'A&W', 'Tim Horton's', 'The Keg', 'Montana's', 'Applebees', 'Arby's', 'Subway', etc..

i wish we had a hobby lobby around here... but then i wish we had a hobby shop of any kind around here. sadly we don't. Hobby Lobby is so cool XD I’m gonna work there when I get old enough they pay more than minimum wage for part time Me and my mom love 'Hobby Lobby' so much. I don't get to look in them often though as the closest one is in North Dakota which is about 3 hours away but we don't get to go there very often. I was last in one about 3 years ago I think when my mom and I were last in North Dakota doing some Christmas shopping in November 2015. |

Oh, there’s another question, what minimum wage in your world? I think here it’s $7.25 or $7.50 Wow, that's surprisingly low (to me)! It's $11.15 here where I live in Canada. |

In the United States the federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour. Some cities and/or states have higher minimum wages. I reside in Ohio and our state minimum wage is $8.30 an hour. |

I live in a rural area and the mall is far from here so I seldom shop there. If I want to shop in a department store I usually go to Walmart. There is a Peebles Department store here so I occasionally go there. There is a Ollie's Bargain Store near here also. We don't have much retail around my area. That's why I like Amazon.com. For Grocery stores we have Kroger, Giant Eagle, Aldis, and Walmart. For restaurants we have Applebees, Bob Evans, Ruby Tuesdays, Outback Steakhouse, Pizza Hut, McDonalds, Burger King, and Arby's. There is a Tim Horton's here for coffee and donuts. When I lived in Florida I remember shopping for groceries at Publix. I don't think that they are in Ohio so they must be concentrated in the southern region of the United States.

That seems very low to me. It must cost more to live in Canada I guess. Ours used to be $11 but they've raised it to $14 and they're raising it again to $15 in January. It is very, very expensive to live in Ontario though. Especially if you live in a more suburban or urban area. Property taxes in my area are absurd. |
