My free scholastic book came today, I can’t believe how fast it came considering the est. ship date. The program ends on the 30th I need to look through my mom’s receipts and try it again although the books are all probably out of stock by now it was kinda slim pickings when I ordered mine XD

I have! I've read all of Austen's books So I watched the movie for the first time in like 15 years so I had a deeper understanding of it than my 12 year-old self, and I was just wondering, what's the go with Marianne and the Colonel? My memory of it originally was those two getting married, happily ever after etc. but this time around I noticed (according to the movie), she never really got over Willoughby, and how at the end he's on the hill watching their wedding. I probably won't read the book, so I was wondering, how does the book explain what she feels at the end? Is the Colonel literally just her second choice?

I can't remember, but one of my summer projects is to reread my Austen collection so I'll get back to you!

Don't know if there are any Anne of Green Gables kids here, but I've started watching Anne with an E and it's fabulous. I avoided it for so long, convinced nothing could be better than the Megan Follows version, but I'm so glad to be wrong in this case. I have all of the books, passed down from my nan, and still have yet to read them, but this series has made me want to do so!

I have been told for some time that Anne of Green Gables is wonderful but I have never watched it. Also, I am an avid book reader so maybe I will try reading it some day.
