Archery has always seemed really interesting to me. It's kind of a hard thing to find lessons in though. Interesting how times have changed, my mom learned it in gym class. I wouldn't mind learning boxing or kickboxing but lessons for it are soooo expensive. Archery really is interesting, but I don't think it's something to let off steam, I think it is omething that needs much concentration and calmness. It's specifically the 'in control' aspect that would help level my emotions

We did archery at my school, but we were a sports college (schools in the UK can become specialists in one area-you normally see sports or technical colleges, but it's not an actual college it's just a school). We also used to do climbing, fencing, sometimes they'd take us to the park and make us do orienteering, etc. In hindsight it was actually kind of fun although I hated PE at the time. I find interesting that when we're 'made' to do something we almost automatically dislike it (e.g. PE). But now, years down the track, where I can choose the physical activity I like, my mindset is totally different. I have found this with a few things actually...

Anyway I looked up archery in my area and it's pretty expensive I did it once at school camp and managed to score two bullseyes on my first go. Beginners luck probably, but will never forget!

I just can’t show up on time to one therapy appointment, can I? It’s only like a ten minute drive for me. I shouldn’t be late. She told me today that it’s okay but it’s still embarrassing. I’m wasting her time when she could be talking to someone else that needs it more. Then there was a freaking train and the light took forever to turn green but it’s still my fault for not leaving early enough.

Don't be so hard to yourself, just learn from it and try to drive earlier next time. That happens to all of us some times.

My job is so boring. Before I was hired I was under the impression that we'd at least occasionally get some VR or AR projects to work on but we haven't. I've recently been applying to video game companies again. I was supposed to do a phone interview today but they cancelled and said they need someone with direct gaming industry experience. That was for an entry level position. I had this problem with every gaming company on the east coast. How am I supposed to get experience if no gaming company will give me a chance? Like how does anyone get into this industry? They must get in through nepotism. I wish I had a rich uncle or friend that owned a video game company.

It's so annoying that just about EVERY job wants you to have prior experience. It's like, come on we all have to start somewhere!

Very few jobs are around at the moment.

I've got an ear infection (right ear) and it hurts. Ouch. I've never had an ear infection but I imagine so. It is. I have had a feeling in my ear since about Tuesday of this week I think. I went to the doctor on Wednesday after work which was good because I didn't know if I should go. The doctor said I have a middle or inner ear infection (I can't remember which one) and something about the ear drum. Thursday was probably the worst that my ear felt. It felt full and more blocked feeling and sounding on that day. I sometimes feel pain in the ear when I don't touch it so I take pain pills. But my ear that is infected feels quite itchy at times and I hate it. When I use a q-tip to scratch inside the ear a little it hurts at the same time. So it must be inflamed or swollen in there because it feels harder than normal and hurts. $106 of pills later...But that included six things - a month of three pills I take daily, the ear drops, antibiotic pills, and a face acne cream I sometimes use. I don't know what caused this ear infection. I haven't had an ear infection in a long time since I was a kid. My right ear always seems to be grossly plagued with more ear wax than the other, so that might be what caused an irritation and infection. I don't know what the best way to clean my ears is. I know I shouldn't use q-tips and I have a sort of corkscrew thing that is made for your ears and is supposed to be better than q-tips because it doesn't push stuff further in. But I don't know where it is right now.

I find it interesting how apparently some people have grey-ish flaky dry ear wax and others have yellow-ish more wet ear wax. I'm team yellow. This is gross to talk about, but it sort of fascinates me like the popping of pimples. It feels so good to see something come out that isn't supposed to be there. I love popping pimples. And don't get me started on cleaning my dogs' ears out. My one dog has TERRIBLE ear wax and it's brown and it seems to keep coming back, and it's so gross, but I love cleaning it out.

But I don't know where it is right now. As a kid and teenager I regularly had ear infections. It was caused by accumulating wax, especially during winter times. Using q-tips helps. Just don’t go in too deep and don’t press too hard. Best is to clean your ears regularly. I do it every day after I showered. Then the wax is a bit moist and you can easily take it out. When you have a cold and your nose and ears are blocked, use sea-salt nasal spray. By solving the junk in the tube between your nose and ear, you prevent getting an ear infection. The more yellow (or even brown/bloody) it gets, the more the infection has progressed.

I guess I had it coming then because over the last while my right ear has had almost brownish or dark yellow stuff on the q-tips I’d put into there. My nose or sinuses are always stuffed, it’s the story of my life. I wake up and my nose is stuffed because it’s chronic. I use some kind of nasal spray daily. I don’t know if it has sea salt in it or not.

I don’t know if it has sea salt in it or not. I don’t recommend using nasal spray too often, especially not spray with hydrochlorid. Sea salt spray is much easier on the nose. Your nose will get used to too much nasal spray and the membranes will actually swell and prevent airflow when you don’t even have a cold. It’s common that people start using it daily. My mom is a nasal spray “addict”. I can imagine it’s harder to prevent a cold with the terrible Canadian weather. Do you breathe through your mouth a lot? It’s important to be able to breathe through your nose. It might take some effort to breathe through your nose again. But it will help you get your nose open regularly and it will help you sleep better.
