Alright I 100% am on Mew's side. I think if you want to play the games play the games. No one said you can't, but honestly I found it extremely unfair how people just jotted up their post counts to where it wasn't even competitive for some. I don't like those line by line word by word games so I don't play them. I am not always active in the games but when I am I prefer to go play games I want to play that have a point. There is so many other interactive ways to gain posts and honestly to me the fact people stopped playing those games when the post count went away proved what I always felt about those games: they are played to get higher post counts.
I want to earn my badge fairly and competitively. I didn't take as much advantage of the games counting when they did as maybe I should have, but I didn't want to do it that way.
I ask of Mew to actually stand by this, because honestly, games aren't about getting insanely high post counts.

Thats true , spamming is possible in any thread... for the record, I dont care if games posts will be or not counted, but as you know, on old TC it went to far, in millions of posts

I think this would be a good idea, I understand why posts in the game section donβt count, but it seems pointless to post in it now the point is having fun... not shooting the post count up.

Spamming is possible in any thread. That's a good point to bring up because it allows me to reiterate a point. If you spam other threads in the forum to beef up your post count we will stop allowing you to receive points in those parts of the forum too. These forums are made to talk to one another. How can we possibly do that when people are spamming threads? I know that there are certain games that actually have substance. Unfortunately, if we ban points we have to ban points in the ENTIRE section of the website. We can't do it thread by thread. If we were able to we would but unfortunately that is one of the few limitations pro boards puts on us.
If you like the games, play the games. We're not stopping you. Just keep in mind the website you would like to browse on. Would you like a website where you can find your friends posts easily so you'll be able to talk and communicate with them or would you like a website where all you can see is the same person constantly posting one character replies over and over again?

i can't exactly quote this... but this is exactly the problem with the "spelling" and word by word games... That's why a few of us requested they be put in a separate section some time ago... and i for one am grateful that they were. Not all games appeal to everyone ... and that's fine. However the one word or one letter ones... used to bury everything else and it wasn't fun trying to find the others. The games are supposed to be fun, first of all... that's the point of them. the points were a bonus. the bonus period has ended. maybe it can be brought back every six months or something for a week or so... but the points aren't the main focus of this place, i don't think, and shouldn't be. The people are more important than the points.

Or maybe the posts made on the Arcade could be limited so spamming wouldn't be possible?

I'm only bringing this back up because it means so much to me for my gaming posts to count. I understand if my ideas gets shot down, but I have to put it out there because I posted a few times in there today and I miss it so much. Idea 1: Could we have a certain amount of posts a day that are counted and then once you reach that point, you're cut off for the day? Or a week? Or something of that nature? Idea 2: Could we have a separate post count for the gaming section? I don't know if that's possible, but could we look into it? These wouldn't count towards badges, just a gaming section count. I know it seems like I'm just trying to get my post count up, but my posts do matter to me, and I love posting in the gaming section. I mean, who isn't trying to get a higher badge, that's what they're made for. Also, I'm not saying this has to apply to all games, maybe just a certain select group of games. Maybe not the counting or spelling games, but things like "Line by Line" and "Music games" are my literal favorite thing to do, and they're about Taylor on a Taylor board. Mewβ’ SydneyPaige

Mewβ’ SydneyPaige I'm saying no. I do have an idea that may be a fair compromise that I'll run past the rest of the staff for opinions, but right now that is a no.
