Remember when there was the rumour that she never showed her belly button because she had a tattoo underneath it lmao All that time I just thought she didn't have a belly button which is why it was never seen.  Honestly I'm a lil bit disappointed that the 1989 era proved both of us wrong |

I'm sure it weighs heavily on her mind that your opinion of her and everything she's done depends so greatly on what she chooses to do to her body. I'm sure she wouldn't lay awake at night about losing me as a fan. And you can mock me all you want, but to me it's important what a person I love and care for does to herself. It would deeply hurt me if Taylor would drift away from the excellent human being she is. |

Genuine question-if she'd released Speak Now but had as many tattoos as Selena for example, who has a few meaningful tattoos, or Demi, who has a lot more tattoos, but the album was completely and exactly the same, would you have chosen not to like it purely because she had tattoos? |

You didn't have to be so arrogant about it, Mew. Wow. Not so much arrogance as it is sarcasm but sometimes being blunt is what it takes. Taylor can get as many piercings and tattoos as she wants and none of us have any say in the matter. We don't have to like it, we don't have to pretend to like it. On this particular subject, every one of our opinions is meaningless to her, the only opinions she may care about are those that are close to her. Immediate family, very close friends, etc. Not fans. And to claim you won't enjoy any of her music anymore if she does get a tat or more piercings is just ridiculous. We don't have any say in what she does to her body nor do we have any right to tell her what she can and can't do to her body. I found it pretty ignorant the way you worded that when you replied to Roman like it was an attack in a way. You could have been nicer about it. And I'm pretty sure neither me or Roman made our opinions out to be like they were what Taylor should listen to. She could give a sh** about me I know so she wouldn't care anyways. She never went on 'Taylor Connect' and she would have had a million times better chance of going on 'Taylor Connect' than here so it doesn't matter if we express our opinions. She won't take our advice and do what we say so I am flabbergasted as to why people expressing their opinions and not liking what she does has caused such an uproar. I'm going to try to explain this to you in a different way because I'm not quite sure we're understanding this the same way. The way he put it, if Taylor got a tattoo or a piercing, he wouldn't like her or her music anymore and he doesn't approve of those things because he doesn't like them. Now in a hypothetical and similar (yet not identical) scenario, lets say I don't like the color purple. I don't approve of it because I don't like it. So I'm going to sit here and tell you that you can't wear purple, color your hair purple, paint your nails purple, or anything like that. Just because I don't like it. And if you do I won't ever like you ever again and I'll forever hate everything you've done or said before you wore purple. So now who the hell am I to have the nerve and audacity to tell you that you can't wear a certain color or color a part of your body that color just because I don't like it? What gives me the right to tell you what you can and can't do when it comes to your body? Nothing. I don't have that right to tell you what you can and can't do with your own body and person. It's beyond ridiculous for me to hate everything about you because you want to do something completely harmless to your body. Just like it will be beyond ridiculous for him to hate everything about Taylor if she pierced her nose or got 2-3 tattoos on her shoulder. I don't think he meant it that way entirely... I'm not going to speak to the situation as I am done with this and I'm tired of the backlash from opinions we stated. |

I can't believe someone would literally cut off enjoyable music because someone has a tattoo or piercing. That's just absurd to me. There is wonderful people with tattoos and piercings alike. There's also bad people with them. Don't judge the entire pot by 1 or 2 people.

The only one facing any kind of backlash here is him. I haven't come after you for your views on how Taylor drinks even though I disagree with you on that subject. I read it, I disagreed, I said nothing and went about my day. Go back and read what he said and the way he put the things he said. That's pretty much exactly the way he meant it. I give him credit, he pretty wonderfully worded his last one to make it seem like he was coming with good intentions even though its just trying to push his own personal preferences on somebody else. Roman could be a politician if he works on doing that more. I'm not saying I agree with Roman entirely but it's also wrong to label him as something you obviously think is a negative thing. |

Good that you ask, because there might be some misunderstandings. Yes, I would prefer it if everyone would stay away from tattoos and piercings. But I'm definitely not saying I hate everyone with tattoos/piercings or I wouldn't be a fan of an artist with tattoos/piercings or I wouldn't listen to their music. I'm not keeping track of every artist I listen to about who they are as a person. And I'm aware that it's common to have tattoos/piercings in the music industry. But with Taylor it's a bit different. If she would've been into tattoos/piercings in the first place I would've liked her music, but I probably would've felt a bit different about her as a person. One of the things I like a lot about her is that she grew up with good values. Part of that is that she didn't scar her body. Considering she's 28 now, it would be really strange and a bad thing if she suddenly changed that much and went ape on tattoos/piercings. That's why I said it could be a deal breaker for me. Would that mean I would stop being a fan and stop loving/caring for her if she got one or a few tattoos? I don't know, maybe, maybe not. Let's hope this stays hypothetical and she will keep her head on straight. |
