I’ve watched all the original ones and the prequels, and out of the new ones, since I’m watching Rogue One now, all I haven’t seen is the Last Jedi. I haven’t read any of the books though. I’m assuming you’ve read and watched everything?

There's a lot of stuff i am not familiar with actually, from recent years, but i tried to keep up with the novels at leas as long as possible... then they declared them all moot basically when The Force Awakens came out... which is why i find it interesting they're working some references to them in to the new movies nonetheless...

I was going to ask next what were the books about... are they continuations of the original movies, or like the movies written out with added insight or anything?

The novels went on from where the orininal movie left off all the way to having the next generation of rebels old enough to continue the fight and beyond... and went backward too... for instance one, Millenium Falcon...traced the history of the ship to who first owned her and then onward ... In one that i didn't get... Luke had been cloned or something and took over as emperor... they went all over the place...

Idk, I am slightly interested in reading them, but it sounds a bit overwhelming if there is so many you can't even keep up lol the one about the Millennium Falcon sounds really cool though! So I really did like Rogue One! Even though they ALL died like what the heck!? But it made me all that more passionate for the Resistance, so it did it's job lol it felt pretty well rounded to me and it didn't leave me wondering for more.

But it made me all that more passionate for the Resistance, so it did it's job lol it felt pretty well rounded to me and it didn't leave me wondering for more. i don't know how much was officially accepted but yeah before Force Awakens, i think most of it was. I don't know if things like the Marvel Star Wars comics series that started in i think '78 were, but most of the actual novels and stuff... There were radio adaptations of the original first three movies that added material because of the limitations of radio versus film. I think the only thing that wasn't considered "canon" back then was the old Star Wars Holiday Special they did on TV one year. As far as novels are concerned, I had about 80 of them and i didn't get everything. You might be able to find some at used book stores...i don't know if any regular stores are carrying that many of the old novels anymore though since they were all sort of dismissed as far as history is concerned.
Yeah the ending was bittersweet, but it makes that sacrifice they made even bigger... I'm glad you liked it. I liked Rogue One more than Solo, actually, and i would have said that before but i didn't want to prejudice your view of it ... I remember being really excited seeing the coming attractions for it. I'm hoping Disney keeps up the quality, but i hope they don't put out TOO many too quickly... it seems like they're already starting to lean to overkill in some ways... If they saturate the public with too much Star Wars too quickly, they won't want it anymore...

I think I liked it. It's been a while since I've seen the Force Awakens, so I really want to watch that one again, and then this one. And then like the originals too, and Rogue One, and Solo lol I've always just liked Star Wars. It's never been my favorite but I have really started to get into it more and more. But back to the Last Jedi... there were some things here and there I didn't think fit, but I think it was pretty good. I honestly don't have a strong opinion about it though. Idk. I just feel kinda neutral about the whole thing. I don't think I'm making sense, but I'm not just trying to explain it for your benefit, but for me to understand too haha
