I saw this video last night and I thought it was cool. My mom says she hates magpies but I like them and they seem cute.
I read an article along with this video that says if a magpie is dead one sees it and lands by it and calls for others to come (up to 40 or something) and they stay for 10-15 minutes like it's a funeral and then leave quietly. Apparently in this video the one on the road must've been stunned or hit something and another one was trying to get him to wake up again and to get him out of danger.
