So these are the types of buildings we have a lot of in Glasgow and I think they're really beautiful. They're called tenements and if I stay in Glasgow I'd love to own a flat in a building like this one day (I lived in one last year and that flat was beautiful if not slightly crap) They tend to have beautiful high ceilings and big windows along with really nice internal features and it's hard to find photos of them but here's a semi-decent example Kate La Vie (one of my fave bloggers) also has a tour of her undecorated flat which I've linked here so you can see what a full one looks like I personally just love homes that have character to them which I think is what's good about being in the UK because so many of our buildings are rather old and have a story to tell

Since Winnipeg is the capital city here in the province that I live in I will post some pictures from online of houses in Winnipeg. It's a diverse city kind of and lots of different areas.
Even where I live there are similar houses to the pictures I posted above. There are older homes like the first picture, there are older homes that were fixed up sort of like the second picture, and there are new houses in new development areas like the third picture. And there are apartments too of course (like in the fourth picture).

Look at this big honker of a house (in Winnipeg)! My first thoughts with that were... i wouldn't want to have to pay to heat that ... but with all the lights on in every room and all over, they obviously have money to burn

This house has recently been put on the market in a little town an hour or so near me! It's so pretty and I'm so happy they restored it. At least I think they did. It looks a little rough on the side in the first picture but maybe these aren't updated pictures. It has 5 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, I think, and comes with some of the original furniture. If only I had the money to buy it.

We got the paint for my room last night. The two long walls will be the grey ('Grant Grey') in the picture below.
The two short walls will be red ('Timeless Ruby') in the picture below.

Lol yeah you really have to pay attention to the direction the pattern of the wallpaper is going in. I can see how it would be frustrating if you are having a hard time matching it

Lol yeah you really have to pay attention to the direction the pattern of the wallpaper is going in. I can see how it would be frustrating if you are having a hard time matching it there were some rooms that had a lot of cutting for windows and doorways in it and it just sometimes wasted a lot of paper... I hope yours was easier to do
