22,23,24. Broken Home, Hide Your Ghost, Gasoline - all by Sawyer Fredericks, released courtesy of Jam in the Van.
All three of these are actually done live but I actually love it. Sawyer live and Sawyer on record just sound similar anyway. Or maybe I just really love his voice. Gasoline definitely grabs me the most.
25. Havana by Camilla Cabello feat. Young Thug
ngl SOLELY because this is catchy and danceable because the song bascally says nothing, the rap part makes no sense, and honestly idk how I enjoyed this because I really don't like Camilla solo.
26. Bodak Yellow by Cardi B
I caved into the land of catchy again but honestly, I love a song with attitude. "B**** you can't f*** with me if you wanted to." heck yea. okay done with this this song is so dirty it don't belong here.
27,28. Give In To Me, Blue by Samuel Larsen
SAMUEL'S FIRST RELEASE WITHOUT ROCNATION SINCE 2014. He totally ditched the label because they weren't helping him but hindeering him and I admire him coming back despite feeling discouraged ah my bby. </3 It took me a while to actually figure out what he said in the chorus (tbh trying to get through all of Samuel's pronunciations is an adventure of its own lol) but I DID IT. Song is good. but Samuel is good. Blue was released on MY FANNIVERSARY OH MY GODDDD and it is such a lovely song. I actually do love it. Daydream still on top tho.
29. Imperfection by Evanescence
I think I honestly got this because I have every Evanescence CD, and this was the new single and I was excited. Honestly not their best song but tolerable. Kinda forgettable.
30. Mistakes by Tove Styrke
I hope I spelled this right. This song is honestly a casual cute love song, and relatable. Of course I casually misheard the more sexual line in the song but I decided I am just going to continue to mishear it because it made it more relatable to me LOL. This song made me make mistakes too.
31,32. Without Love, Forgiveness - all by Alice Glass
Thanks to I believe it was JADE who introduced me to Alice Glass went solo originally with Stillbirth. Her EP emotionally grabbed me similarly with these two tracks. Without Love caught me the msot. Alice Glass is just so strongly emotive in a way I cannot understand totally how it makes me feel so emotional, but I love it.
33. Despacito remix.
Yep I bought a song half sung in spanish. Yep Justin Bieber is included on it. Yep this is almost unthinkable. Nope I'm not sorry. It is catchy.
34. Attention by Charlie Puth
Hey this is the first song I ever liked from this dude! Yes I heard the other ones but thought his voice was annoying. But this one caught my "attention" hahaha. okay I failed. But seriousness, makes me wonder if his new album will be really good but the second single kinda just annoys me again so I assume perhaps this will be a 15 minutes of attention thing. XD
35. Unforgettable by French Montana
Catchy and smooth. Ironic the song is called unforgettable though because for a long while I forgot I had bought it.
36. 13 Beaches by Lana Del Rey
Dang Lana is just a hit or miss with me I think. I liked Born to Die, Ultraviolence had like 2-3 songs I liked. I loved Honeymoon, bought the whole thing, I was completely unimpressed with Lust for Life. Except for this song. This song wins the award for being the only song which redeemed this Lana album to me. This song is beautiful, almost resonates with her older style. If you hated lust for life singles do try this song.
37. Down by Fifth Harmony
Fifth Harmony is GREAT at catchy singles but it makes me sad that each album I feel like I like them less and less. I love their debut EP. The debut album was good. The second album was okay. this album just...didn't impress me really. This song was catchy. But ultimately forgettable. It makes me sad as I absolutely love Dinah Jane, I wish she could've been solo as she's got such a strong voice and sometimes I feel like her voice got overshadowed in 5H. I think I will try to listen to the album again as I did with their other ones to see if it grew on me any, but idk. I felt like the group has potential to be better without Camilla though, as she tended to get all the solos and her voice kind of sticks out compared to the others who could harmonize better.
38,39,40,41. Praying, Boots, Learn to Let Go, Finding You - all by Kesha
I am not sure at some point I may not completely own Rainbow. I am speaking to say it is truly the most honest, most genuine, best Kesha album made. It is sad what she went through to get there, but the beauty from the music can inspire. Praying is one of the best songs of the year hands down. It is powerful, I remember crying when I originally listened to it. It is so beautifully spoken. It makes someone like me who's been a victim of something in my own way feel like I am surviving too, like her. That is a very powerful thing to create with music. Learn to Let Go is another awesome song reminding you that sometimes the best advice is the one you give yourself. You know what is best for you, remove the demons, free yourself from the chains. Finding You is a beautiful love song and just makes me want a love like that. Boots is definitely a kinkier song and a bit sensual but I like it. I really recommend looking at Rainbow.
42. Fetish - Selena Gomez
I did not like It Ain't Me. Didn't like Bad Liar. Kind of made me sad considering I actually have both of Selena's albums and a lot of music from when she was with her band at disney too. This song was kind of odd. I admit it isn't the best, but in some twisted form I actually like it. XD its bizarre and the video an oddity but, creativity isn't always average.
43. Right Now - Haim
HEY ANOTHER BAND I LIKE ONE SONG FROM NOW. In essence, I actually liked the sort of video acousticy version better but I settled for this since it is what we got. It gets a little repetitive but I feel like it adds emphasis to the feeling. Congratz Haim for finally impressing me.
44,45: Inspired, Malibu - both by Miley Cyrus
Alright this will be long and honest. I was a DIE HARD Miley fan. Miley was my original Taylor. I defended her through some uglier scandals. But with Bangerz era, the twerking, drugs, all that. I officially cut it off. I deleted every song I owned from her, as she told us old Hannah Montana day fans who were growing with her, to go away. so I did. But I admit, I kept reading everything. I kept praying she'd get it together. And when Malibu came out, I heard the Miley I knew for so long reappear but I was hesitant. I waited, watched...I saw...she kind of did. No one is perfect. And the fact she could laugh at some of her mistakes is good. I ended up getting the song. The first song I bought from her in years. The first Miley song in my own itunes library. I then bought Inspired the day it came out, because, with everything happening, that song just made me cry. It was actually beautiful and honest. I am honestly glad for better or worse Miley did release Younger Now. She didn't pretend Bangerz and all that dead petz stuff didn't happen, but she is growing up.
46. HUMBLE by Kendrick Lamar
XD You know this made me think of all those times Nathan told me if I sat and listened to Kendrick more I'd find at least one song I liked. the one I found before was I. it was an okay song to me tho. Humble just became my jam. It came at a time I was just pissed at people, just feeling like you know what I AM NOT YOUR DOORMAT ANYMORE. I AM A HUMAN BEING AND I HAVE WORKED HARD AND I DESERVE SOME DANG CREDIT. And this song is just personified hot dang. I love it.
47. Use Me by The Goo Goo Dolls
I love this band. One of their songs, Iris, is a song I choose to define my life. I love this song a lot. It was an outtake from their last album they put on a little EP, nonetheless it is amazing and I almost wish it made the album.
48. Machine by Misterwives
I was honestly disappointed with Connect the Dots after their debut was so good. This song as a lead single is still good though, I love the originality push of it.
49. Green Light by Lorde
you know I don't even want to get into how depressed I was to absolutely not resonate with the new Lorde album. Her debut was kind of my life. I remember reading articles saying Lorde is finally acting her age. and I was "no go back to being an old soul with me, go back to being yourself because idk what this is" it was like Taylor Swift 1989 except it was Lorde and I got the same feedback on disliking it as I got for not connecting with or enjoying 1989 as much. Honestly this was worse though, this was the only song I got from the album. The verses sound so bitter and rough and I resonated with it. I don't really like the chorus as well. I wish I enjoyed the album, I honestly kept previewing because I wanted to, but the truth is I just don't connect with dancing and partying. It is not who I am, but it is what Lorde was in this album, and I was viewing from the side.
50,51: No Frauds, Regret In Your Tears - both by Nicki Minaj
Nicki Minaj is the original rapper for me. This was the first rapper I EVER was into. Dead serious. These songs just prove Remy Ma did NOT kill Nicki and she ain't dying that easy. Regret in Your Tears really got me though. I feel for her, both guys she's been with for a long time and loved deeply have both ended up parting with her. And you listen to songs like All Things Go and know how much family means to her and how she wants kids and she's 34 years old. She is getting to that age it is going to be hard to fulfill that. I just darn it.
52: Wild Love by Elle King
okay this doesn't even match up with her debut album but its catchy and kinda cute so I gelled with it.
53: Play That Song by Train
alright alright another cheesy Train song. I'm not sorry.
54: I Don't Wanna Live Forever by ZAYN and Taylor Swift
Okay tbh, considering the appalling messages in this movie, I really hated this. I didn't buy this until it was 69cents on itunes so I felt they were getting the absolute least amount of money and I still don't listen to it a ton. I don't know. I think I'd feel better about it if Zayn's falsetto wasn't so annoying and if it wasn't for THAT. MOVIE.
55. Hopeless Romantic by Michelle Branch
TBH I bought this single because I was just THAT excited Michelle was coming back but honestly the album was not a good comeback. I think as with others I will preview it again to see if I enjoy it more but otherwise highly disappointing and this song is fairly dull compared to even her unreleased songs.
56. Paris by the Chainsmokers
catchyyyyyyyyyyyy
57. Something Just Like This - Chainsmokers feat. Coldplay
Okay so this is kinda catchy stuff too but tbh this has become one of my favorite songs because of the lyrics...I know in romance I always struggle with feeling like god they deserve better, but listening to these words just makes me feel dang love is beautiful. She don't want a super hero or someone absolute, she just wants someone she can be with here and now. someone to miss, someone to kiss. Yes beautiful.
alright that is all.
